2021 Fantasy Football All-Sleeper Team

Fantasy football sleepers

This year, people are looking for those elusive 2021 fantasy football sleepers that will save their season. Sometimes it’s a breakout player, others it’s someone rebounding from a bad year. Well, look no further than this fantasy football sleeper team, a group of later round guys who can win you your league!

Also, much like my All-Bust Team, the 2021 fantasy football sleepers will not be including rookies, and scores/rankings will be PPR.

QB: Tuanigamanuolepola “Tua” Tagovailoa

2020 PPG: 14.05

ADP: #179 (QB21)

There will be two kinds of people who read Tua’s inclusion on this list. One will say how he’s a bust and will never be more than a mediocre quarterback, and the other will say Tua actually had a good rookie year. Most, however, will be in the first camp, and that’s what makes Tua such a great value pick.

Now, there are some concerns with Tua. He claimed he knew a play wouldn’t work, but didn’t know the playbook well enough to call checks and audibles. However, given a full offseason, and hopefully competent coordinators, this will be a non-issue going forward. Couple that with a true WR1 in Jaylen Waddle, and Tua is going to have a big year.

HM: Cam Newton

If Cam can hold off Mac Jones for the entire year, he’s still a viable ground threat and will benefit from the two tight end set New England will run.

RB1: Darrell Henderson

2020 PPG: 8.7

ADP: #151 (RB48)

With Cam Akers going down today, Henderson is sliding into the RB1 spot for the Rams. Expect this to provide huge dividends for the Memphis product entering his third year, as well as your fantasy team.

RB2: Damien Harris

2020 PPG: 9.1

ADP: #104 (RB37)

Even with Sony Michel coming into the season healthy and drafting Rhamondre Stevenson, Damien Harris is still entering the season as RB1 in New England. If Harris can remain consistent, more carries will allow him to become a top ten running back this season. Let’s look at his stats:

YearGamesAttYdsY/ATD
201924123.00
2020101376915.02

That 5.0 Y/A would put him in the same range as Alvin Kamara, Jonathan Taylor, and Dalvin Cook. The only areas of concern are his health and TDs. Harris started and ended the season on the IR last season, with a broken finger and then an ankle injury later on in the year. The broken finger isn’t too concerning, and there’s no indication the ankle injury was too serious. The TD production is more concerning. Given the Patriots just drafted Stevenson, and like running it with Cam in the red zone, don’t expect that number to skyrocket.

HM: Leonard Fournette

After a full season with Tampa under his belt and a strong postseason, Fournette will be a bigger part of this offense.

WR1: Brandin Cooks

2020 PPG: 15.5

ADP: #86 (WR35)

Brandin Cooks has been on a downward trend the past few years, having his worst statistical season since his rookie year in 2019. However, 2020 was a bounce back season putting up 15.5 PPG. However, due to Deshaun Watson‘s pending legal investigation, Brandin’s ADP is still low. So why am I so high on him?

If/when Watson is put on the exempt list, Tyrod Taylor and Brandin Cooks are going to be electric.

WR2: T.Y. Hilton

2020 PPG: 11.0

ADP: #131 (WR54)

T.Y Hilton has been up and down the past few seasons. Last season, one week he would get you three points, then go on a run of 14+, then back to six. With a talented QB in Carson Wentz coming to Indy, T.Y. will get a hungry QB with something to prove. Expect him to feed Hilton right out the gates.

HM: Jakobi Meyers

With a lot of new faces in the Patriots locker room, and Meyers being their most consistent receiver last year, Jakobi would be worth taking a late round flyer on for some early season production.

TE1: Zach Ertz

2020 PPG: 7.1

ADP: #161 (TE18)

It’s no secret Ertz didn’t want to be in Philly last season. With a new coaching staff, and a newish QB, this could change. If not, his dead cap hit dropped by $13 million this year, and this makes moving him a lot more palatable for the Eagles. Ertz still has the potential to be a top tight end in the league, and he will look to prove it this upcoming season, regardless of if he’s donning the kelly green or not.

HM: Tyler Higbee

Higbee’s only an HM because some are really high on him. With an ADP of 142 and being TE16, Higbee could be a later round TE pick, especially with Stafford coming to town.

DST: Minnesota Vikings

2020 PPG: 3.8

Rank: DST#27

The Vikings defense was bad in 2020, allowing less than 21 points only twice (against Detroit and Chicago.) The addition of Patrick Peterson and Xavier Woods brings some much needed experience for their secondary, and the return of Danielle Hunter will provide some help up front.

Mike Zimmer is also coaching for his job, and will need the defense to be perfect to stay off the hot seat.
