Here’s my Week 8 QB streamer article. If you want a recap of the idea behind QB streamers, you can check out my first article here. Last week, my Week 7 QB streamer was Tua Tagovailoa who put up a league-leading 28.54 fantasy points. Obviously, this makes him the best selection I’ve made all year. Hopefully my selection this week does just as well. Here’s my QB streamer for the week.
Carson Wentz
The ex-Eagle, Carson Wentz isn’t an exciting pick, but he has been putting up respectable numbers this year for fantasy. He’s only about 12 fantasy points away from being a top-12 QB. He doesn’t look anywhere as good as he did that year when he looked like an MVP candidate and won the Superbowl, but for fantasy purposes, he has been getting the job done despite not really having any star receivers unless you count running backs.
This week, he gets to face off against the Tenessee Titans defense, who, despite shutting down Patrick Mahomes last week, hasn’t been that good against QBs. I’m not expecting an explosive game from Wentz, but I think he should be able to put up respectable numbers. It should be enough to get you through the week if your QB is on bye.
Wrap-Up
Maybe you drafted a QB later and are worried about your QB’s Week 8 matchup. In that case, Carson Wentz could be a player to look at for a Week 8 QB streamer option. If you drafted a good starting QB, I probably wouldn’t bench him for Tua, but the Indianapolis QB has the potential to be a solid fill-in.
