It’s Week 18, and you’re still playing; well, the good thing for you is that Belly Up is ready to bring you some good lineup advice for your grand finale. So sit back, enjoy your coffee or beer and take a gander at the decisions that will bring you that final championship. Good Luck, guys!
Quarterback
Start
Carson Wentz vs Jacksonville Jaguars
DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?! #ForTheShoe @cj_wentz @TYHilton13

If I were the Colts, I’d want to get Wentz going on the right track before the playoffs. This is the matchup that you’d want to exploit. For that reason, I feel like he should be a good start this week and could easily finish as a QB2 with QB1 upside.
Sit
Trevor Lawrence vs Indianapolis Colts
Lawrence has been a nightmare for fantasy managers this year. Even the “easy” games have been mediocre, so I have little to no expectations for this week against the Colts. Continue to bench him this week.
Running Back
Start
D’Onta Foreman vs Houston Texans
Foreman ate the Dolphins’ defense busy last week to the tune of 132 yards and a Touchdown. Now he gets the Texans who have allowed the most yard (1,942) and the second-most touchdowns (18) to running backs. No, Derrick Henry this week and a need to beat the Texans to secure a first-round bye should make Foreman a start this week. Look for him to produce at an RB1 clip.
Devin Singletary vs New York Jets
Devin Singletary …. ANGRY RUNS 🤬🤬😡😡🤬🤬

23/110. 2 TDs #GoBills @KyleBrandt pic.twitter.com/k4tN4YaBCR
Singletary is having the best stretch of games in his 2021 season. He’s scored four touchdowns in the past three games, coming off his best game, rushing for 110 yards and two scores. This game against the Jets is juicy for running backs. They have allowed the most TDs (22) to running backs. Singletary should be RB2 with RB1 upside.
Sits
Cordarrelle Patterson vs New Orleans Saints
Patterson hasn’t had a good week since Week 14 against the Panthers. Mike Davis has played better than Patterson in the past few weeks, and the Saints will be coming hard for the win on Sunday. I don’t expect Patterson to be effective in this game.
Rex Burkhead vs Tennessee Titans
Burkhead had his best week against the Chargers in Week 16. This week he gets a tough matchup against the Titans, who have allowed the second-fewest yards (1,035) and fifth-fewest TDs (9). Burkhead should be benched this week, with the Titans starting the players to try and obtain a first-round bye.
Wide Receivers
Starts
Amon-Ra St. Brown vs Green Bay Packers
St. Brown is coming off his best game with 134 total yards and two touchdowns. The Lions rookie has been getting better and better each week, and I think he’ll find a way to make this week one of his better ones. I don’t expect the Packers to play their starters the entire time and open up garbage time for St. Brown to go off. Look for him to be a WR1 this week.
Zay Jones vs LA Chargers
🚨 WALK-OFF TD BY ZAY JONES!🚨

RAIDERS WIN IT IN VEGAS!
(via @NFLBrasil)pic.twitter.com/2oRpWY9hVe
Jones beasted out last week and showed up for the Raiders in a must-win game. The Raiders have peppered Jones with 34 targets in the past four games and should continue to make him a primary target in this game. After his 120 yard performance against the Colts, we should expect him to be a viable WR3/Flex without a touchdown.
Sits
Devante Parker vs New England Patriots
Parker had 13 targets last week but could only reel in four catches for 46 yards. This week the Pats are fighting for the AFC East title, so they’ll be invested in this game and play their top defenders. Parker is a risky play against a top-notch defense.
Marvin Jones vs Indianapolis Colts
Jones has been targeted heavily in the past two weeks, but he shouldn’t be trusted against a stout Colts defense in this game. The Jaguars as a whole shouldn’t be trusted against the Colts.
Tight End
Start
John Bates vs New York Giants
Can #WashingtonFootball fans give some love to John Bates?
— Nathan Coleman (@JHawkChalk_) January 5, 2022
✅1st in the NFL in @PFF Run Blocking Grade for TEs
✅12.8 Yards Per Reception (9th in the NFL for TEs)
👀13th most receiving yards among rookie WRs & TEs
Not bad for a day 3 rookie with limited college production. pic.twitter.com/vDxEMbovOB
Bates is looking at more playing time with Ricky Seals-Jones out for the Week 18 finale. The rookie will look to make an impression on the coaching staff with a `big performance against the struggling Giants. In the past two weeks, Bates has tallied five receptions for 80 yards and a TD. Look for Bates to be targeted in this game and have a chance at a TE1 week.
Sit
Tyler Higbee vs San Francisco 49ers
Even with Higbee’s 21 targets in the past three weeks, the Rams are going against one of the best teams against the tight end. The Niners have allowed the fourth fewest fantasy points/game to opposing tight ends. This game is going to be about pace and who can get the other team to play at their pace. I’m going to sit Higbee in this one, and not chance him against one of the defenses.
Conclusion
The regular season is concluding this week, and if you are lucky enough to be in a two-week finale, I hope you found this start/sit sheet helpful. This year has been alot of fun, and it has been an honor to help you guys through some tough decisions.
