Week 1 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst WR Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Justin Jefferson 39.40 FP
9 Receptions, 184 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected 19.49 FP)
The performance of the week, regardless of position, goes to Justin Jefferson. He dominated the Green Bay defense with 184 receiving yards and two receiving TDs. The offense of Kevin O’Connell ran through Jefferson as early as the opening drive. If you drafted him in the first round, you may have the best WR in fantasy football.
Silver DAWG: Devin Duvernay 21.40 FP
4 Receptions, 54 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected 8.00 FP)
Devin Duvernay had an amazing performance against the New York Jets. He made his receptions count as two of them were for TDs. His performance has increased his projected scores in fantasy football. He seems like a good option for Lamar Jackson after Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman.
Bronze DAWG: DeAndre Carter 15.40 FP
3 Receptions, 64 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected 1.04 FP)
In his Chargers debut, DeAndre Carter balled out at a crucial time. He was fifth on the depth chart, but Keenan Allen left the game with an injury. In case Keenan misses some time, DeAndre could step up and be a reliable WR for Justin Herbert.
Golden FRAUD: Allen Robinson 2.2 FP
1 Reception, 12 Yards (Projected 14.34 FP)
Allen Robinson had a debut to forget. Matthew Stafford targeted him just twice, and Allen caught only one of them. We have to give credit to the Buffalo defense because they played a good game. We will have to see and hope that Allen will have a bigger role in the next game against the Falcons.
Silver FRAUD: Mike Williams 3.00 FP
2 Receptions, 10 Receiving Yards (Projected 15.18 FP)
Mike Williams had a quiet game against the Raiders in Week 1. Even with Keenan Allen out, Mike wasn’t targeted much by Justin Herbert. In the upcoming games, expect Mike Williams to bounce back.
Bronze FRAUD: CeeDee Lamb 4.90 FP
2 Receptions, 29 Receiving Yards (Projected 17.36 FP)
The Tampa Bay defense was dominant against CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. CeeDee caught two receptions out of 11 targets. With Dak Prescott being out for a while, let’s see how CeeDee will do with Cooper Rush as QB.
