Week 4 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst QB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Jared Goff 34.22 FP
378 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TDs, 1 Interception, 1 Carry, 1 Rushing Yard, 2 2-Pt Conversions (Projected: 17.55 FP)
Jared Goff balled out in a shootout loss to the Seahawks 48-45. Goff completed 26 of his 39 passes for 378 yards and four TDs. He has been quietly putting up a solid fantasy season as he is ranked fifth in QB scoring for fantasy total. Jared should be a pickup, especially if the Lions go into more shootouts.
Silver DAWG: Geno Smith 31.70 FP
320 Passing Yards, 2 Passing TDs, 7 Carries, 49 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD (Projected: 16.43 FP)
On the other hand, the winner of the shootout is Geno Smith. Geno threw 23 of 30 passes for 320 yards and two TDs. He had a good running game by rushing for 49 yards and a TD. This performance put him as the ninth-highest-scoring QB in fantasy. He’ll have a tougher matchup against the New Orleans Saints next week.
Bronze DAWG: Kenny Pickett 15.30 FP
120 Passing Yards, 3 Interceptions, 1 Fumble, 6 Carries, 15 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs (Projected: 0.00 FP)
It’s Kenny Pickett’s time in Pittsburgh as he took over Mitchell Trubisky at halftime against the Jets. It was a matter of time until he was given the reigns to the Steelers. He threw for 120 yards and rushed for two TDs. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin has announced he will be the starter going forward. Pickett will have a tough matchup against the Bills in Week 5.
Golden FRAUD: Mitchell Trubisky 2.46 FP
84 Passing Yards, 1 Interception, 1 Carry, 1 Rushing Yard (Projected: 17.35 FP)
It was a tough day for Mitchell Trubisky as he was benched in the loss against the New York Jets on Sunday. After completing seven of his 13 attempts, he was replaced by Kenny Pickett after the half. After multiple straight mediocre performances, Steelers HC Mike Tomlin announced that Kenny Pickett is officially the starter for next week.
Silver FRAUD: Marcus Mariota 4.86 FP
139 Passing Yards, 1 Interception, 1 Fumble, 5 Carries, 3 Rushing Yards (Projected: 19.21 FP)
Marcus Mariota had a rough game against the Browns, but the Falcons carried him to a win. Mariota completed only seven of his 19 attempts with an interception. This was his worst performance of the season so far. He hopes he can be back on track against Tampa Bay next week.
Bronze FRAUD: Trevor Lawrence 6.66 FP
174 Passing Yards, 2 Passing TDs, 1 Interception, 2 Carries, 7 Rushing Yards, 4 Fumbles (Projected: 18.39 FP)
Trevor Lawrence started out strong but fell off in their loss against the undefeated Eagles. Lawrence had five turnovers (an interception and four fumbles) against an elite defense in Philadelphia. He did throw for two TDs and 174 passing yards. Look for him to bounce back against the Texans next week.
