WR Fantasy Football: DAWGS Or FRAUDS Week 4

Week 4 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst WR Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.

Golden DAWG: Jamal Agnew 21 FP

4 Receptions, 50 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 1.49 FP)

Jamal Agnew going in for the touchdown against the Eagles

Jamal Agnew was THE GUY in the Jaguars’ loss to the Eagles. He caught four balls for 50 yards and two TDs. Before the game, he only had two catches for 23 yards for the season, so this game was unexpected. It also helped that Zay Jones was inactive due to an ankle issue. Let’s see if Agnew can continue this performance against the Texans next week.

Silver DAWG: Mike Evans 30.3 FP

8 Receptions, 103 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 17.06 FP)

Mike Evans couldn’t be stopped against the Chiefs

Mike Evans came back from his suspension and didn’t miss a beat. Tom Brady connected with Evans eight times for 103 receiving yards and two TDs. Tampa Bay was behind early, so they passed the ball more often. Another monster game is expected when the WR faces the Falcons next week for the division lead.

Bronze DAWG: Justin Jefferson 31 FP

10 Receptions, 147 Receiving Yards, 1 Carry, 3 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD (Projected: 17.98 FP)

Justin Jefferson celebrating after his TD in London

After a few bad weeks, Justin Jefferson finally returned to being a fantasy beast. Jefferson was dominant in London when he caught ten balls for 147 yards and ran a sweep for a TD. Credit to the Vikings for putting Jefferson in different spots to keep him open against the Saints’ defense. He’ll have a fun matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Golden FRAUD: Amari Cooper 1.90 FP

1 Reception, 9 Receiving Yards (Projected: 15.11 FP)

Amari Cooper had a rough day against the Falcons

Amari Cooper was stopped by the Falcons’ defense led by AJ Terrell. The game plan focused on stopping Cooper, and it delivered. Amari only had one catch for nine yards. He’ll look to bounce back against the Chargers in Week 5.

Silver FRAUD: Diontae Johnson 4.20 FP

2 Receptions, 11 Receiving Yards, 2 Carries, 11 Rushing Yards (Projected: 15.44 FP)

Diontae Johnson wasn’t targeted much in the game against the Jets

Diontae Johnson had his worst game of the year when he only had 22 total yards in the loss against the Jets. He did have to handle a QB change at halftime, and George Pickens felt like the favorite receiver of Kenny Pickett. We’ll have to see how Diontae will do against the Bills next week to determine whether this performance was a fluke.

Bronze FRAUD: Gabriel Davis 2.30 FP

1 Reception, 13 Receiving Yards (Projected: 13.44 FP)

Gabe Davis had an off-game against the Ravens

Gabriel Davis struggled against the Ravens in Week 4. Gabe caught only a pass for 13 yards. He still hasn’t looked healthy after dealing with his ankle issue. Davis did practice fully on Wednesday, so hopefully, he’ll look much better in Week 5.
