Week 6 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst TE Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Mike Gesicki 24.90 FP
6 Receptions, 69 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 7.41 FP)
Mike Gesicki was the favorite target of Teddy Bridgewater in the red zone as Gesicki caught two TDs in their loss to the Vikings. He hauled in 69 receiving yards as well and played his best game of the year. Tua Tagovailoa is expected to start next week so let’s see if Gesicki can continue this good performance.
Silver DAWG: Robert Tonyan 19 FP
10 Receptions, 90 Receiving Yards (Projected: 8.57 FP)
Robert Tonyan was the favorite target of Aaron Rodgers in the Packers’ loss to the Jets. Tonyan had a career game with 10 catches and 90 yards. Randall Cobb was carted off during the game so Tonyan’s production might increase in the upcoming weeks.
Bronze DAWG: Jake Ferguson 14 FP
4 Receptions, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 3.83 FP)
Jake Ferguson caught his first NFL TD in the Cowboys’ loss to the Eagles 26-17. He stepped up for Dalton Schultz who was out with a knee injury. Ferguson’s production will get lower with Schultz about to be fully healthy.
Golden FRAUD: Tyler Higbee 1.70 FP
1 Reception, 7 Receiving Yards (Projected: 12.19 FP)
Tyler Higbee wasn’t a factor in the Rams’ win over the Panthers. With an ankle issue, Higbee only caught one pass for seven yards. The Rams will rest with their bye in Week 7 so Higbee can be well-rested for Week 8.
Silver FRAUD: Dallas Goedert 4.20 FP
2 Receptions, 22 Receiving Yards (Projected: 11.22 FP)
Dallas Goedert was limited in the Eagles’ win over the Cowboys. He caught two passes for 22 yards but he dropped some passes that would have helped his fantasy owners. The Eagles have a bye week in Week 7 so maybe he can regroup in the Eagles’ Week 8 matchup against the Steelers.
Bronze FRAUD: Hayden Hurst 5.10 FP
3 Receptions, 21 Receiving Yards (Projected: 9.34 FP)
Hayden Hurst caught only three passes for 21 yards in the win against the Saints. Joe Burrow focused on his other receivers especially Ja’Marr Chase. Hurst hopes to bounce back against the Falcons in Week 7.
