Week 8 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst WR Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: A.J. Brown 39.60 FP
6 Receptions, 156 Receiving Yards, 3 Receiving TDs (Projected: 15.56 FP)
A.J. Brown was the best WR in fantasy football this week in the Eagles’ Week 8 win over Pittsburgh. The Eagles WR caught six passes for 156 yards and three TDs. He has been a difference-maker this season and has helped Philadelphia to an undefeated start to the year. Look for him to challenge Derek Stingley Jr. in their matchup against the Texans in TNF.
Silver DAWG: Rondale Moore 23.40 FP
7 Receptions, 92 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD, 2 Carries, 12 Rushing Yards (Projected: 7.67 FP)
Rondale Moore has continued to step up as the Cardinals’ WR2. The WR caught seven passes for 92 yards and a TD in the loss to the Vikings. With Marquise Brown still out, Rondale has helped carry the load with DeAndre Hopkins and Zach Ertz. He will have a challenge with the Seahawks’ secondary in Week 9.
Bronze DAWG: D.J. Moore 27.50 FP
6 Receptions, 152 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD, 1 Carry, 3 Rushing Yards (Projected: 13.31 FP)
D.J. Moore has found new life with P.J. Walker as his QB. Moore caught six catches for 152 yards, including a 62-yard TD to tie the game. His trajectory from Week 8 is going upward, and is a must-start next week against the Bengals.
Golden FRAUD: Davante Adams 1.20 FP
1 Reception, 2 Receiving Yards, 1 Carry, -1 Rushing Yard (Projected: 18.48 FP)
Davante Adams was non-existent in the Raiders’ 24-0 loss to the Saints. He was dealing with an illness the entire week and looked off with Derek Carr. He has a date with the Jaguars in Week 9. Hopefully, he gets better soon so he can bounce back as one of the best WR in football.
Silver FRAUD: Courtland Sutton 2.30 FP
1 Reception, 13 Receiving Yards (Projected: 13.12 FP)
Courtland Sutton is back on this list and in this position for the second week in a row. He and Russell Wilson have failed to make a connection in the past few games. In London, the Jaguars played good defense against him, and he only caught one pass for 13 yards. The Broncos are on a bye, so maybe they can fix their relationship by Week 10.
Bronze FRAUD: Hunter Renfrow 1.60 FP
1 Reception, 6 Receiving Yards (Projected: 11.33 FP)
Hunter Renfrow is another WR that makes this list. Coming back from a concussion, the Raiders WR failed to make an impact. He hasn’t looked the same since last year when he broke out. Let’s see how he bounces back against the Jaguars.
