Belly Up Start Em, Sit Em: Week 4

Looking for that fantasy edge this week? Team not performing how you want? Don’t worry, just check out my start em, sit em: week 4 edition!

Start Em: QBs

Carson Wentz's contract extension does not change timetable for Jared Goff - Los Angeles Times

Jared Goff vs NYG

Rams QB Jared Goff has 5 TDs in his last 2 games, and faces a Giants defense that has allowed at least 2 passing TDs in each game this season, and that list of QBs isn’t impressive. Goff is completing 70% of his passes this season and the Rams are starting to heat up, scoring 30+ points in each of their last 2 games. It’s going to be a long trip for the G-men, the Rams will score at will in this one.

Joe Burrow vs JAX

The Bengals are committed to letting Burrow air it out week after week. 2nd in the league in yards and attempts, Burrow faces off against the Jaguars defense that has allowed QBs to complete 80% of their passes. The Jaguars have also allowed the 3rd most passing TDs and 6th most fantasy points to QBs this season. The for LSU Tiger has 628 yards 5 TDs and 0 INTs over the last 2 games. Look for Burrow to have his coming out party with Jacksonville coming to town, Joe is burning for his 1st career win.

QBs I’m eyeballin’ Week 4: Gardner Minshew @ CIN, Ryan Fitzpatrick vs SEA, Tom Brady vs LAC

Start Em: RBs

Start em, sit em week 4: James Robinson?

James Robinson @ CIN

The former FCS All-American and Illinois St. Redbird comes into week 4 as 2020’s fantasy darling. James Robinson is RB5 in PPR scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. Robinson showed pass catching potential last week and is 3rd in receiving yards amongst RBs(behind only Kamara and Ekeler). The Bengals just so happen to allow the 5th most fantasy points per game to RBs. Both of these teams can score, neither defense can stop anyone. I look for Robinson to finish the season’s first quarter strong with a great match-up at Cincinnati.

Darrell Henderson vs NYG

Darrell Henderson has a solid grip on the lead role in the Rams backfield. Since getting an actual opportunity in Week 2, Henderson has been RB 10 in PPR scoring. Henderson is also averaging 6 yards per tote and faces a visiting New York Giants defense allowing the 10th most points to RBs this season. Henderson out-touched Brown 21-7 and Henderson had 6 redzone touches to Brown’s 1. Start Henderson with confidence in Week 4.

RBs I’m eyeballin’ Week 4: David Johnson vs MIN, Mike Davis vs ARI, DeAndre Swift vs NO, James White @ KC

Start Em: WRs

Philadelphia Eagles: The post-draft pressure is on for Greg Ward

Greg Ward Jr. @ SF

Once again, the Eagles have almost no healthy WRs, and Greg Ward Jr. has taken advantage of his opportunity . Ward was targeted 11 times and had 8 grabs for 72 yards and a TD in last week’s tie against the Bengals. He will receive a large target share against the battered 49ers, which gives him a high floor in this match-up. Greg was a serious playmaker at QB in college at Houston, tallying over 8,200 yards and 56 TDs passing and rushing for 2,381 yards and 39 TDs.

DeVante Parker vs SEA

Parker played well in Week 3 even though he wasn’t 100% healthy. The Dolphins have had 10 days since their last game and they face the leagues worst pass defense. The Seahawks allow almost 48 fantasy points per game to WRs, to put that into perspective: Dallas is the 2nd worst at 34 fantasy points per game. DeVante has yet to have a game that resembles his back 9 in 2020, but with Fitzmagic heating up, the Seahawks land on the Dolphins schedule at just the right time. Parker owners, rejoice! He’s going to shred that secondary this week.

WRs I’m eyeballin’ Week 4: DJ Chark @ CIN, CeeDee Lamb vs CLE, OBJ @ DAL, Sammy Watkins vs NE, Brandin Cooks vs MIN, Michael Gallup vs CLE

Start Em: TEs

Evan Engram: start em, sit em week 4

Evan Engram @ LAR

The Giants will be forced to throw visiting the Los Angels Rams. WR Darius Slayton is likely in for a date with Rams CB Jalen Ramsey, leaving Engram as the best bet for the Giants to create any sort of mismatch. Engram is averaging 5 targets per game and I expect him to be targeted very heavily this week. The Giants will be playing from behind, making Engram a great option for someone missing Jonnu Smith or in need of a flex option because you’re in injury hell like some of us.

Mike Gesicki vs SEA

The Dolphins TE might be one of the most discussed players on Belly Up Fantasy Live, and for good reason! Gesicki is TE 6 in PPR scoring and leads the Dolphins in targets, receptions, yards, and touchdown catches. Scoring in back to back games, Mike Gesicki is primed for his fantasy breakout. Fitzpatrick will target Gesicki early and often with the league’s worst pass defense visiting Miami.

TEs I’m eyeballin’ Week 4: Hayden Hurst @ GB, Hunter Henry @ TB, Austin Hooper @ DAL

Sit Em: QBs

Eagles News: Carson Wentz is looking swole - Bleeding Green Nation

Carson Wentz @ SF

The Eagles make the trip to San Francisco and face a defense that has allowed the 6th fewest fantasy points to QBs. Wentz has a shortage of WRs, and the offensive line woes are a big issue vs the 49ers front. Safety blanket, TE Zach Ertz, doesn’t have a favorable match-up to provide much help as the 49ers have allowed the 2nd fewest points to opposing TEs. Unfortunately Carson is a struggling low-end QB2 until his fellow Eagles get healthy. With an extremely low floor, you should look else-where for your QB services this week.

Nick Foles vs IND

I know Nick came to the rescue for the Bears last week at Atlanta, but let’s not get too carried away. The Colts defense is allowing a league-best 10.7 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs this season. The former Super Bowl MVP wasn’t overly accurate and did throw an INT last week against the Falcons who are among the leagues worst against the pass. Although I do like Foles in this situation with Chicago, I’m just not starting him this week.

Sit Em: RBs

Start em, sit em week 4: Ronald Jones?

Ronald Jones vs LAC

With teammate Leonard Fournette set to miss Week 4, it’s more tempting to start Ronald Jones. The visiting Chargers are the stingiest vs opposing RBs, and have only allowed 1 rushing TD through 3 games. Chris Godwin is also set to miss this game, this is shaping up to be a trap game for the Buccaneers.

Austin Ekeler @ TB

Ekeler’s timeshare with Joshua Kelley and the fact that the Buccaneers are allowing the 9th fewest fantasy points to RBs has be tempering my expectations for Ekeler this week. The Chargers RB has only 1 TD on the season and he isn’t getting the redzone carries either. With the way 2020 is shaping up, you may be starting Ekeler out of necessity, but if you’re fortunate enough to have a suitable replacement – strongly consider it this week.

Sit Em: WRs

Week 12 Panther's Picks & Props: An Ode to D.J. Moore

D.J. Moore vs ARI

D.J. Moore has yet to score a TD in 2020 despite being drafted as a borderline Top 10 WR. This week the Panthers host the Arizona Cardinals who have surrendered the 2nd fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs. The outlook in Carolina is bleak without Christian McCaffrey in the backfield. The lack of weapons to take some attention away from D.J. Moore has me avoiding Moore in my starting lineups.

Terry McLaurin vs BAL

The Baltimore Ravens are yet to allow a 100 yard receiver and the Washington Football Team will struggle to score at all in this game. Baltimore is coming off of a Monday Night Football loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington is averaging under 21 points per game. McLaurin has been up and down through 3 weeks, having been outside the top 35 WRs twice in 3 games. The floor is very low for Scary Terry in Week 4.

Sit Em: TEs

Tyler Higbee: Fantasy Football Fact or Fiction? | 4for4

Tyler Higbee vs NYG

The Rams TE is yet to be targeted more than 5 times in a game, and outside of his 3 TDs in Week 2 Higbee hasn’t been very productive. Tyler hasn’t surpassed 60 yards in a game and has been targeted 3 or fewer times in 2 of 3 games. This week the Rams host the New York Giants who have allowed only 10 total receptions to opposing TEs. Although I like Rams QB Jared Goff this week, the Giants don’t surrender much production to TEs.

Jimmy Graham vs IND

Graham had a nice stat line last week recording 6 receptions for 60 yards and 2 TDs vs the lowly Falcons pass defense. This week the Colts come to town allowing the least production to TEs, actually they’re not allowing much production to any position. Foles does give Graham a better chance to resurrect his career, but don’t get fooled into starting Jimmy Graham this week against the Colts.
