NFL Week 6 was abysmal. I went 1-4 ATS and my Patriots lost a heartbreaker. Fast forward three weeks later and the Patriots are the 8 seed in the AFC beating the red hot Chargers. I did not have bets for those weeks and that is on me. I was so upset after going 1-4 that I had to take a hiatus to clear my head.

This week I was looking at the board and my favorite NFL pick which I locked at the beginning of the week was the Packers ML. The Chiefs have looked terrible and the Packers are red hot and even ML seemed too easy of a pick! Then Aaron “John Wick” Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19. The Pack are now +7.5 and I am the chump who has them at even ML with Jordan Love starting. It’s gonna be ugly for me.

I need to find five gems this week and earn the respect of my readers again. I mean to be fair during that Week 6 I had two of my picks go to overtime in the Pats and Panthers, who both ended up losing. However, betting is not about being close, you either win or lose. I am holding myself accountable after that terrible outing and I promise to provide five juicy winners this week. I even took out my whiteboard this week to get an in-depth look at the board.

NFL Week 6, The Worst Monday Of My Life

Okay, I went 1-4. I get it I was a total failure and honestly tarnished my family name. My performance was so bad that I got moved to the kids’ table for Thanksgiving this year by my own mother. My Uncles wanted me to sit with them, but I am convinced they just want to fade my Turkey Day picks so they can retire earlier. I am the laughing stock of the family group chat. It’s gotten so bad that I am at the point where I am contemplating buying an android to just get booted for having the green message.

I was in shambles but then I remembered a great quote from Rocky Balboa.

Just like Rocky, I took a big hit. Actually, that is an understatement. I got knocked out and was on my ass unconscious. But if Rocky Balboa can get back from a punch by Ivan Drago, I can get back from a 1-4 slate that included two heartbreakers in OT.

Awful but we move on and learn from this. Now time to get into the picks for Week 9, but first I want to look at the season as a whole.

Just a Bump In The Road

On the season now we are 12-8 ATS. If you do not believe me check my last blog with the picks. Week by Week I have gone 3-2, 5-0, 3-2, and 1-4. Overall that is not too shabby the 1-4 is awful though and as I addressed above. But the big picture here is that I am 60% on the season. That is a winning record and I promise you no one is more upset with it than myself. We’re gonna get into the picks in a second but first I want to remind everyone where I am getting my lines from. Every time I make my picks I am getting the spreads from Bovada. Week 6 is in the past, and I didn’t hear any bell! I am ready for battle, LETS GO!
