Welcome to the Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update! For the third consecutive season, Belly Up Fantasy Sports is proud to host the Belly Up Bowl fantasy tournament to raise money for charity. And for the second year in a row, we’re partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. This year, 72 teams across six leagues are vying for the trophy, a bit of prize money, and the right to call themselves the 2022 Belly Up Bowl champion. Each week from now until the championship game, we’ll update you on who’s hot and who’s not in each league, including notes on league standings and the top five overall ranking. Remember, this is a “Best Ball” format, and overall scoring is just as important as win-loss record.
Each Belly Up Bowl league is named after a real Alex’s Lemonade Stand Childhood Cancer Hero. We’ve linked to each of their stories in their league’s review, so we can keep in perspective why we’re all here. A reminder that in addition to the money we’re donating raised from players’ league entry fees, you can always donate directly to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. You can also check out the many other ways to help, either by utilizing one of the additional methods of giving, or by getting involved directly.
REMINDER: Any Belly Up Bowl participant still needing to donate ($20.00) for the league entry should do so HERE and use either your name or your Sleeper team name so we can check you off our list. Please and thank you! With that, let’s get you up to speed with the Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update.
Scoring Format
Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update: League Amara
It was a good week to be a top league team, as three league leaders also had the high scores in their respective leagues for the week. The first of those was Team HighLowSports in League Amara. Tied for the second-best record in the entire Bowl, Team HighLowSports sits in the top five overall scorers as well, with a shot at taking home the Belly Up Bowl Title with a couple big scores in the final two weeks. In fact, three teams from League Amara find themselves in the overall top five. Team PapaDragon2005 is the fourth-highest scoring team in the tournament, but only third in their own league. They can blame Team JordanJames for that unfortunate fact. Team JordanJames is actually the second-highest scoring team overall and tops in Amara. They lead Team HighLowSports by just 21.64 points heading into Week 17.
Standings-wise, Team JordanJames find themselves in second in Amara thanks to a four-game winning streak. They’re followed by Team PapaDragon2005. Three teams are tied at 5-11 at the bottom of the league. Of those, Team GREGGELS17 is on a five-game losing streak, while last place Team 4WhomJBellTolls has lost seven in a row.
High Risers: Team KornerBoothJared, Team ripper80 (+1)
Fast Fallers: Team CommishCooper, Team tjsumpter55 (-1)
High Score of the Week: Team HighLowSports (229.58)
Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update: League Heather
The leaders in League Heather had a good week, as The CHAMP is here! tallied the high score in the league and second-highest in the tournament. The CHAMP is here! are on a six-game winning streak, tied for the longest active run in the tournament. It’s been a bit of bad luck record-wise for the league’s leading scoring teams, however. Blue Chase Stuffed Olaves lead the league in scoring, but sit just third in record. Meanwhile, second-highest scoring Team epurdue21 find themselves in sixth place with a record of 8-8. Team ADion802 have lost six in a row, while Team JohnnyCocktail have lost five straight.
High Riser: Team RyanMinerFFB (+2)
Fast Faller: Team BellyUpMike (-2)
High Score of the Week: The CHAMP is here! (233.10)
Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update: League Landon
Add Team sportsfansc to our list of league leaders with the weekly high score, as they logged the best mark in Landon on the way to their sixth win in a row. They’re lurking just outside the top five in scoring overall. Team venomsoldier01 are second in both scoring and the standings in the league. It’s a three-team race for last in League Landon, with LAMBardi, Team badprodigy, and Team Rindo all holding 6-10 records. Team badprodigy is on a four-game losing streak, while Team Rindo has the fewest points in the league.
High Risers: Team PickleRiot66, LAMBardi (+2)

High Score of the Week: Team sportsfansc (194.44)
Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update: League Leevi
The powerhouse of the Belly Up Bowl resides in League Leevi, as Team BuckeyeFan91 lead all teams in scoring. They are currently the only team with more than 3,000 points and lead the next-highest scoring team by over 135 points. They hold a 305.90-point margin over Team BellyUpWill in their own league, the highest discrepancy between league leaders in the tournament. Despite being just fifth in points in League Leevi, UrbanKickedHim are tied with Team BuckeyeFan91 atop the league with an identical 13-3 record. UrbanKickedHim have been helped by a four-game winning streak. Team cjoneswho, meanwhile, are enjoying a five-game winning streak that has evened their record at 8-8. Team PluckyBeans had the league’s high score this week. Their tally of 233.50 led all teams in all leagues.
High Riser: Team SpaceMonkeysInc (+3)

Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update: League Mary
@EmPoweredFF have taken complete control of League Mary. They’re currently on a five-game winning streak and are sitting at 13-3, a full two games ahead of second-place Team sugarfreemocha. @EmPoweredFF also lead League Mary in scoring by 75.92 points over Team sugarfreemocha. On the other hand, KZfromPressBox has had much less good fortune. At one point, they had a .500 record. Since then, they’ve lost a current league-high 10 straight to fall to 3-13. They also are one of just two teams in the Belly Up Bowl with fewer than 2,300 total points. Team blainebellyupsports used the league’s highest score this week to even their record at 8-8.
High Risers: Team BellyUpKev, Team AndrewLeduc-BellyUpSports, Team blainebellyupsports, Purple Pride (+1)
Fast Faller: Team GoingFor2DotCom (-2)

Belly Up Bowl Week 16 Update: League Preslie
Team thorhalla have absolutely dominated in League Preslie this season. With the best record in the Belly Up Bowl at 14-2, Team thorhalla hold a four-game lead over second place Team CommishCasey. They haven’t lucked into those wins, either, as they sit fifth in the entire tournament in scoring. While they lead League Preslie in points, however, they have their work cut out for them to reach the top. Team thorhalla currently trails Team BuckeyeFan91 by 162.7 points. Team rusj75 are second in points in Preslie, but their 8-8 record is only good for fifth place in the league. An anomaly at the bottom of the league: Team ShaneSays have the fewest points of any Belly Up Bowl team, but with a 5-11 record, they are one game ahead of last in their league.
High Riser: General Mills (+4)
Fast Fallers: Team rusj75, Team injuredlistpod, Team Flawlesss (-2)
High Score of the Week: General Mills (203.10)
