Buy Low Sell High Week 2

Week 1 in the books folks. Week 2 is upon us. In case you missed it, here is week 1 buy low sell high, Honestly, I could include most of those guys here again in week 2, and I would still be right. But let’s get some fresh blood in here, shall we? Time to target guys to buy who are undervalued, and sell guys before the inevitable drop off.

Sell High- Adrian Peterson

The ageless wonder, and a pure joy to continue to watch. But old…

Let’s get real here. It was really fun to see AD play last week. He toted the rock 14 times for 93 yards, and added 3 catches for 21 yards on 3 targets. He ran well, and he can still contribute for a team. But, I can see zero total reasons why Peterson would continue seeing as many touches with the Lions having Swift on their roster. Peterson, as cool as it is to see him play, is not the future, and while I expect him to remain semi-relevant, if you can find someone who overreacts to Week 1, you could extract more value for AD than he is worth. Eventually, he is going to take a back seat to Swift at a minimum.

Buy Low- DeVante Parker

Parker plays the Bills this week, Parker makes catches like this, It;s fate Parker goes off soon.

Parker did not impress, hauling in 4 catches for 47 yards on only 4 targets. He is currently Questionable with a hamstring issue. However, I do expect him to be back healthy soon, and because of a lackluster performance and people getting lower on Miami, I feel like now is an opportune time to snipe Parker. Talent-wise, this guy is elite, it is just his situation that is concerning, and honestly, I think Week 1 Miami Dolphins are an outlier to what they look like in a week or two. This offense has weapons, and chief among them is Parker.

Sell High- Sammy Watkins

Watkins, you magnificent Lizard-King, you always try to trick us you trickster. Not this year, not me, not my readers!

Should I include a duh? Watkins is capable of lines like his 9 target, 7 catches for 82 yards and 1 TD from week 1, but please don’t be fooled. That is not consistently happening. There are too many weapons, including the next guy I am gonna talk about, that will limit his consistency. But someone, maybe someone who hasn’t been burned by Watkins before, might bite and overpay for what he did week 1. Let them.

Buy Low- Mecole Hardman

This is the Chiefs weapon I prefer over Watkins. Week 1 is the past, Hardman is the future next to Hill and Kelce.

Hardman let a lot of people down week 1. 1 target, 1 catch, 6 yards. Yuck! However, I do view him as the third option behind Hill and Kelce, and he has proven dangerous with the ball in his hands. I expect more consistency from him than Watkins, and would easily make the trade straight up, acquiring Hardman for Watkins. He is just more dangerous and more capable of explosive plays. And Watkins is Watkins. Try to get Hardman before he goes nuclear.

Sell High- Robby Anderson

He isn’t better than Moore, or Samuel, or McCaffrey. Expecting a lucky Teddy bomb every week is unwise.

If you were impressed with Carolina or Bridgewater in Week 1, we watch football differently. He had the one lucky bomb to Anderson(which was not a good throw), and was otherwise not very impressive. If you remove the 75 Yard bomb, Anderson had 5 catches on 7 targets for 40 yards. Not impressed. But that stat line will get people buying. And you can flip Anderson for a guy whose upside is less limited by his quarterback. Carolina’s offense is not going to be great.

Buy Low- Austin Ekeler

Ekeler operates best in space, Taylor and Lynn need to utilize him better that way.

Look, Tyrod is not going to be starting for long if he keeps that garbage up. 1-0 because of a last-second leg injury to the Bengals kicker, that doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. He was bad, and that affected all of his weapons. They have got to feature Ekeler more, and I think the staff knows it, Combine Ekeler’s ok 19 rushes for 84 yards, along with 1 catch for 3 yards on 1 target, with Josh Kelley looking all sorts of good, and you have a recipe for a disgruntled Ekeler owner. Scoot on in, get cozy, and acquire Ekeler now when his value is low. We know this guy can play, we know he is a weapon, and if whoever owns him doesn’t know it, use that to your advantage.
