The 2020 NFL Draft is upon us, and I am here to give you the First Look series. I will be going through around 30 players as the Draft goes on over the next 3 days. I will give you some background about the player, how they will fit into their new team, and their fantasy outlook going into the 2020 season. Here, I present the 5th Overall Pick Tua Tagovailoa.

Background
After taking over for Jalen Hurts in the second half of the 2018 National Championship, many knew how great of a player he could be. Tua has had an unfortunate time with injuries the past two years. Tua has the accuracy, instincts, and athelticism to be an elite QB in this league. After undergoing hip surgery, Tua will be ready to throw for teams in April. Tua recently underwent a checkup and just four months since the surgery his hip is looking good and trending towards full recovery. He should be considered a top QB talent in this draft class and will be a franchise QB going forward.
Team Fit
Tagovailoa will be welcomed into Miami by DeVante Parker and emerging TE Mike Gesicki. Tua should be a Day 1 starter but may sit a year under Ryan Fitzpatrick. It appears that Tagovailoa is getting back to his normal self and free of injury. The Dolphins will have to look to bring an RB in alongside their new franchise QB.
Fantasy Outlook
It is unclear to full project his 2020 season. Fitzpatrick will most likely start the season as the man, but I feel Tagovailoa can be a starter by Week 5. Flores won’t look to rush Tagovailoa into the starting lineup but after a few bad games from Fitzpatrick, Tua will be asked to take over. Tua should be a Top 3 pick in dynasty SuperFlex drafts and will be a late-round option for redraft leagues.
