Fantasy Football Week 7 Sleepers & Streamers

Matt Ryan Colts

Week 7 marks the halfway point of the fantasy football season. By this point in fantasy football, defenses have shown their true colors, and favorable matchups run rampant. The middle of the season bye weeks can be a killer toward a playoff push, but we’re here to help. Some slow starts are coming to an end, and some offenses are starting to click. Some players are primed for a big week. Below are this week’s fantasy football Sleepers and Streamers.

The difference between sleepers and streamers in fantasy football. Sleepers are players that will continue to stay on your roster, perhaps in a backup or handcuff role. They are poised to have a big week based on matchup or injury. On the other hand, streamers are players that will be relevant only for this week. They are a quick pick-up and drop, hopefully with a big fantasy week in between.

Davis Mills – Houston Texans QB

The Texans’ passing offense may not be impressive, but they get a strong matchup in Week 7. The Texans visit the Raiders, who have been mediocre at best against fantasy quarterbacks. This year, they have allowed at least 237 yards per game and are averaging 2 passing touchdowns allowed per game. The Raiders have allowed 11 passing touchdowns this season as opposed to intercepting only 2 balls. Mills may not be the best quarterback, but he can sling it when needed. He could push for 300 yards this week against a weak Raiders defense. Streamer

Matt Ryan – Indianapolis Colts QB

At the beginning of the season, it looked like Matt Ryan should hang it up. Then, last week, he exploded for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns. This week he gets an even better matchup against the Titans. They are allowing 304 yards per game and over 2 passing touchdowns per game. The Titans also allow a staggering 67% completion percentage. Ryan could go back-to-back 300-yard games against his divisional opponent. The Titans have allowed 4 straight 300 yards passers, so it’s not crazy that Ryan can be number five. Sleeper

D’Onta Foreman – Carolina Panthers RB

Before this week, Foreman was an afterthought in the Panthers’ offense. Then, on Thursday night, Christian McCaffery was traded to the 49ers. Now, Foreman will be the lead back for an underwhelming Panthers team. He may split some touches with Chuba Hubbard, but Foreman will get the first crack at lead running back duties. Last season, when Foreman filled in for Derrick Henry on the Titans, he performed well. He eclipsed 100 yards three times and tallied three scores. He will be a major waiver wire add leading up to Sunday. Get him if you can. Sleeper

Donovan Peoples-Jones – Cleveland Browns WR

This has been another quietly strong season for Peoples-Jones. After the past 3 weeks, he has caught at least 4 balls and over 50 yards. He does lack in the touchdown department but is a steady no thrills receiver. This week’s matchup against the Ravens is favorable. Marlon Humphrey has been very good this season, but the rest of the Ravens’ secondary has been trash. Humphrey likely will be called to guard Amari Cooper all day, leaving the door open for Peoples-Jones to have a big day. He isn’t consistent enough for a weekly start, but the matchup this week gives Peoples-Jones hope in your lineup. Streamer

Latavius Murray – Denver Broncos RB

The Broncos are the most disappointing team in 2022. They can get nothing started in the offense. This week Russell Wilson may be banged up (depending on if you want to believe that or if the injury is a cop-out for bad play), and the Broncos may lean on the run. It’s a coin toss on who will dominate the touches, but Murray is in the mix. Last week, Murray had 15 carries to Melvin Gordon’s 3 carries in his first week with the team. Murray is not a sure thing, but if you are dealing with bye weeks or went zero RB in the draft, Murray is a good streaming option. Streamer

Chase Claypool – Pittsburgh Steelers WR

Claypool has been the forgotten man in the Steelers’ offense early on. He’s been inconsistent in his play, not being able to surpass 50 receiving yards until Week 6. However, he has been receiving a fair share of targets. In all but one game this season, he has been targeted at least 6 times. This week, the Steelers play the Dolphins, who have already let up a few big game games to receivers. Regardless of the Steelers’ starting quarterback, Claypool is getting looks. This should benefit him in a promising matchup with Miami. Sleeper
