A few weeks after becoming the WWE’s new 24/7 champion, Gronk will be returning to the playing field. Gronk had retired before the 2019 season but had speculated at times a possible return. Gronk must have changed his mind about his future in football during his “GRONK BEACH” party. Now, with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, Gronk would love to come back to football. The New England have just traded Rob Gronkowski and 7th round pick to the Bucs for a 4th round pick. The Patriots had no business in keeping Gronk on their roster and now have added a 4th round pick for this weekend’s draft.

Dynasty Asset?

So, will Gronk be able to help your dynasty team going forward? Heck yes, I think he could. Arians has been very non-committal about the future of O.J. Howard and I thought that he would be shipped in this trade. Barring physical, Gronk will be joining alongside Howard and Cameron Brate. Gronk may have immediate success for dynasty owners. Go check if he is still on your waiver wires, if he is, pick him up! I have a feeling he will be gone by the team you check. Is it worth it to trade for him? Maybe. If you get him at the right price, I think he will ultimately be able to help your team win now.

Moving Forward

I would project Gronk to close to 6 TD but can see him grabbing close to 9- 10 if he can stay healthy. With the TE landscape being so murky in the back end, Rob would be a perfect plug and play guy depending on the week. I would love to see if you can acquire him for cheap. Gronk will at least play the 2020 season and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him return with Brady in 2021. If you are a in position to win now, Gronk would be a great TE to own. Be careful though as there are much better long term options than the party rock-star himself.
