MLB Players To Buy Low On Before They Get Traded

Trade talks are heating up as we approach the trade deadline, what does that mean for fantasy baseball managers? Sometimes a change of scenery is all a slumping player needs to get things going. A pitcher or batter can move to a ballpark that fits their game better. Here are some MLB players to buy low on before they get traded and everyone wants them.

Tim Anderson, SS, Chicago White Sox

From 2017-2021 Tim Anderson was a top-ten fantasy shortstop. Last year things began to change as the White Sox began to fall apart from the inside. So far this season Tim Anderson has proven he does not belong on a fantasy roster. A veteran player with his proven past is just the kind of guy contenders are looking for. He will not cost a new team much, and they will bet on his upside. I expect the Dodgers and the Giants to be in on Anderson. I also believe a change of scenery will revive Tim Anderson’s fantasy value.

Jurickson Profar, OF, Colorado Rockies

Profar had a lot of fantasy value last year in San Diego. As with all Rockies players, he has had only minimal fantasy return this year. Profar can provide position flexibility for a contending team. He is another guy that will not demand a major return for a team that acquires him and has a proven track record of helping a team. Teams like Toronto or Cleveland could be in the market for him. Put Profar around talent, and he can shine again.

David Robertson, RP, New York Mets

Back-end relievers are always a hit at the trade deadline. As disappointing as the Mets have been, David Robertson is pitching well and will be sought out by contending teams. Robertson has two wins, 11 saves, and a 2.00 ERA. Currently rostered in only 61.5% of ESPN leagues, he can easily be added to your roster. Arizona, the Yankees, and Toronto are teams to watch.

At this point in the season, the best options are already rostered on fantasy teams, but you can choose these MLB players to buy low on before they get traded and add fantasy value.
