My eyes are burning. Yup, you read that correctly. Why, you ask? Well, we all sat through a painful 60 minutes of NFL football on Thursday night. The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks faced off in a game only aired on Amazon Prime (and for the record, I feel so bad for Al Michaels for having to call these boring games). All you need to know is that no touchdowns were scored. If you love kickers, this was the game for you. Let’s not waste any time. Here are the PPR studs and duds from an uneventful night of football.
Wait, There Were Studs From This Game?
Yes, there was! I will give my props to Chase McLaughlin, who was 4/4 on field goals and hit two from 50+ yards out. But, the 8.3% of those who rostered Colts’ receiver Alec Pierce were one of the smart ones.
The wideout was the best non-kicker scorer on the night, finishing with 16.1 PPR points. He continues to build off his previous performances and increase his scoring output every week.
Leading the team with eight catches for 81 yards, he is a wideout to watch out for on the waiver wire. Even with the uncertainty of this offense, Pierce may emerge as Matt Ryan‘s favorite target instead of it being Michael Pittman Jr. (10.9 PPR pts.)

Terrible throw, but a great catch.
Melvin Gordon III (13.3) played well for the Broncos, filling in as the starting running back for Javonte Williams (lost for the year with an ACL injury). He had 54 rushing yards and also had three receptions for 49 yards.
However, There Were Many Duds.
Notice how the Stud section was short? That’s because we were subjected to a lot of “mid” play by many of the players we rely on in fantasy.
Russell Wilson was projected to score 17.4 PPR points. He disappointed many by finishing with just 9.16 points. Coming off an excellent performance against the Raiders, he looks back to his old habits. Is it head coach Nathaniel Hackett? Is it his wife Ciara? Who knows?
We can all agree that Wilson is not cooking. He was paid handsomely to be the franchise quarterback. Instead, he has played like a backup. Cooper Rush is playing better than him. Who knew we would be saying that in 2022?
What about the quarterback on the other side? Maybe Matt Ryan had a solid fantasy performance. You were wrong, as he threw two interceptions despite throwing for 251 yards. That translates to only 6.14 fantasy points.
Matt Ryan with good protection but he throws it directly to a Broncos defender.

Caden Sterns gets the interception.

The Colts can never just find a quarterback, can they?
Tight end Mo Alie-Cox (1.7 pts) came down to Earth, and Nyheim Hines only finished with 1.8 fantasy points due to a concussion.
In all, this was a very boring night from a fantasy and real-life perspective. Can we never have the Denver Broncos on primetime ever again?

Unfortunately, they’ll be back on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. Great.
