As we enter the last week of the NHL regular season, we only have so many games left to bet. Once playoff hockey starts, our betting slates are drastically shortened.
Let’s try to make the most of what is left as we get into our NHL Best Bets.
NHL Best Bets
Carolina Hurricanes @ New York Rangers
The Hurricanes and Rangers are still fighting for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. The canes are at the top with 112 points and two games remaining. The Rangers are sitting in second place with 108 points and have three games left in the regular season. This game has massive implications for both teams.
The Hurricanes currently lead the season series against the Rangers by winning two of the first three games. In Carolina’s only loss this season to the Rangers, they produced 44 shots on goal and only allowed 18 shots. Alexandar Georgiev made a career-high in saves and stole the game for the Rangers.
I think the Canes are the better team and I expect them to win tonight and clinch the Metropolitan Division.
The Play: Carolina Hurricanes Money Line (-110)
Detroit Red Wings @ Toronto Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs have scored the second most GF per game in the NHL this season at 3.80. Their Power Play ranks first in NHL and is scoring 27% of the time.
Auston Matthews is having an incredible scoring season this year. He currently leads the NHL in goals with 58 and is fifth in the league in total points with 104. Mitch Marner is also dominating for the Leafs: he currently has 35 goals to go along with 97 points.
Alex Nedeljkovic is in line to start tonight for the Red Wings. He has a 3.31 GAA and .901 SV% in 58 starts this season for the Red Wings.
I like this game to go over the total.
The Play: Over 7 (-110)
