The National Football League is subject to so much change year over year. Injuries and age hold some players back from previous levels, while growth and new roles help new players fulfill their potential. Every year, there are players that fans, bettors, and fantasy sports lovers overlook who go on to take huge steps forward, surprising all but a few who saw it coming.

This year will be no different. As the season appears on the horizon, bettors are scrolling their favorite sports betting apps in Ontario, searching for some underrated odds. Fantasy enthusiasts are eying ADP lists and taking mock drafts. Fans are following every second of training camp. But if you want the easiest way to find the hidden gems for next season, it is right here. Below, we’ve assembled a look at some offensive players being slept on in fantasy, by bettors, and by fans.

Rachaad White

Opportunity is everything in sports. Getting a chance is the first and most important step. Rachaad White should have plenty of opportunity to prove himself next year. After primarily being a backup for the Buccaneers last season, White is the unquestioned starter this year. While the offense doesn’t seem likely to be the most explosive, White had 50 receptions last season and will be even more of a focal point in the offense without Tom Brady. His backup is Chase Edmonds, who had a bad year last season, so he should be featured plenty for the rebuilding Bucs.

Javonte Williams

Javonte Williams looked like an efficient future lead back in his rookie season, and many saw him as a potential breakout player for last season. However, a torn ACL in week four ended all hope of that. Now, he is returning to a much better situation in Denver. The Broncos brought in Sean Payton, an elite offensive coach who got the best out of early career Alvin Kamara. The front office invested in the offensive line, and Russel Wilson will surely have a better performance. That will open a lot up for Williams, who should be the Broncos’ bell cow.

Kadarius Toney

Kadarius Toney has thus far only been featured as a gadget player in his career. His 2022 was a massive disappointment after a promising rookie year, and the Giants traded him to the Chiefs for pennies on the dollar. He showed signs of life in Kansas City and now has a very real chance to be the top wideout in Pat Mahomes’ offense this season. If that is the case, Toney could provide superstar value. While there is a big logjam in Kansas City at the position and not a ton of clarity, the upside with Toney is massive.

Elijah Moore

Elijah Moore is another player who hasn’t lived up to his potential but has a new situation that could be hugely beneficial. After struggling through two seasons with Zach Wilson as his quarterback and falling out of favor in New York, Moore has been moved to an optimal situation with the Cleveland Browns. He will be their key slot guy, with solid wideouts Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones on the outside drawing attention away from him. If Deshaun Watson returns to form, this offense, and Moore’s stats, have explosive potential.

Juwan Johnson

A few elite stars dominate the tight-end position, but Johnson quietly has a ton of upside to put together a big season. Last year, he produced a significant bump in performance, going from 159 yards and four touchdowns on the season to 508 yards and seven touchdowns. He is aging into his prime and is in a New Orleans offense that could be much more explosive with Derek Carr arriving in town. Carr helped engineer a breakout year for Darren Waller in Oakland, so Johnson could take another step forward and maybe even see double-digit touchdowns.

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa flashed why he was so heralded coming out of Alabama last season. He was incredibly efficient, took care of the ball, and was a great distributor to the elite talent on the Dolphins. Injuries were a defining narrative, though. But if Tagovailoa, who has been training all offseason to minimize his risk, can surpass the injury bug, watch out. The Dolphins’ offense will be scary this year once again, and Tagovailoa has another year of comfort in Mike McDaniels’ system. He could be one of the top quarterbacks in the league this year if he manages to avoid injury.
