Playoff Fantasy Draft Positional Rankings

The fantasy football regular season and playoffs are over. Hopefully, you’re still celebrating a league championship and lording it over your leaguemates. If not, or if you’ve come crashing down off that high back into the reality of the nine-to-five, there’s one more opportunity to ramp it up. Playoff fantasy leagues can be a nice coda to your league season. They can offer a chance at redemption for those who underperformed, or double bragging rights for anyone who’s already made a magical run. Here, we’ll offer rankings for your league’s fantasy playoff draft.

Format is important here. In these rankings, we’re drafting a standard roster. One quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, a tight end, a FLEX, a kicker, and a DST. You draft your team before the first playoff game, and that’s who you’ve got until after the Super Bowl. You have to balance those who you think will go off on Wild Card Weekend with those who you think will make a several-game run. For example, Justin Tucker is clearly the league’s best kicker. But will one Tucker game out-weigh two games of Greg Joseph or four from Robbie Gould? Without giving you my entire bracket, I see the Chiefs and 49ers advancing to the Super Bowl, so players from those two teams are going to be near the top of my rankings, as you’ll get more games from them than, say, Seattle, whom I expect to be a one-and-done.

Note: All point totals and rankings are PPR unless otherwise noted.
