Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the 1st of 32 Perfectly Percolated Projections. Today, we peruse the players playing for the Buffalo Bills. Please pick a pleasant place to partake in this palaver, perhaps philosophizing about player potential, per-game production, or possible pine-pony perpetrators. Pardon the puns and paraphrases that permeate peacefully among this paragraph. Even I am perturbed.
QB:
Josh Allen: Passing: 310/490-3,602-26 TD:8 INT
Rushing: 96-540-8 TD:6 FMBL
Standard: 336.08 (6)
0.5 PPR: 336.08 (6)
1 PPR: 336.08 (6)
Matt Barkley: Passing: Gas
Rushing: Gotta Sitta Bencha
Irrelevant in all formats
QB Rank: Negative
Starting off strong with Josh Allen entering year 3 with the best weapons he has had so far in his career. The addition of Diggs along with his knack for improvement in both his first two years has me crazy high on Allen in 2020. He doubled his TDs in year two while cutting his interceptions by 25%. He is a major rushing threat, which elevates his fantasy production high into the stratosphere. 17 TDs and 5.8 YPC on 198 rushes is big time. Expect huge things from Allen heading into his third year. Bills fans, rejoice, you should get this for a long time.
Then, Bills fans need to remember that Matt Barkley is their backup. Pray that Allen stays healthy. Seriously, do it now. A 10:21 TD:INT ratio combined with a 2-5 career record, heading into his 6th year. Again, I cannot stress enough Bills fans. Do whatever is necessary to keep Allen healthy. Your football lives depend on this. As do the fantasy lives of every player on this team.

0.5 PPR: 170.8 (28)
1 PPR: 184.8 (29)
Zack Moss: Rushing: 103-560-3 TD: 0 FMBL
Receiving: 35 targets, 22 catches, 141 Yds, 1 TD
Standard: 94.1 (45)
0.5 PPR: 105.1 (46)
PPR: 116.1 (48)
T.J. Yeldon: Rushing: 6-24-0 TD:0 FMBL
Receiving: 12 targets, 8 catches, 70 Yds, 0 TD
Standard: 9.4 (99)
0.5 PPR: 13.4 (97)
1 PPR: 17.4 (95)
This Bills backfield is tough to project, as the addition of Moss is sure to throw things out of wack. However, let’s not forget about the fact that Singletary averaged 5.1 YPC in 2019. This guy is explosive. So before all the Zack Moss truthers get out their pitchforks, realize Singletary has already shown he can produce in the NFL. The addition of Moss makes me feel better about Singletary’s health, as they can form a 1-2 punch for a potent Bills offense.
I will admit, Moss is a Singletary injury away from being a feature back. I just think Singletary is getting written off harder than a Kanye presidential run. They were both round 3 picks. Both put up ridiculous college numbers. Singletary has just done it at the NFL level already. I see no reason why Moss becomes the RB1 in 2020.
T.J. Yeldon is kind of an afterthought. However injuries could thrust him into a larger role, and he has proven to be a capable pass-catching back. The dude is turning 27 this year. For a third back, Buffalo can’t be too upset. He is fantasy irrelevant unless injuries force Buffalo to give him more touches.
WR:
Stefon Diggs: Rushing: 2-28-0 TD: 1 FMBL
Receiving: 110 targets, 74 catches, 924 Yds, 7 TD

0.5 PPR: 173.2 (27)
1 PPR: 210.2 (28)
John Brown: Rushing: 1-11-0 TD: 0 FMBL
Receiving: 83 targets, 49 catches, 689 Yds, 4 TD
Standard: 94 (54)
.5 PPR: 118.5 (55)
1 PPR: 143 (56)
Cole Beasley: 70 targets, 44 catches, 455 Yds, 3 TD: 1 FMBL
Standard: 62.5 (79)
0.5 PPR: 84.5 (75)
1 PPR: 106.5 (73)
Gabriel Davis: 18 targets, 12 catches, 160 yards, 1 TD: 1 FMBL
Standard: 21 (119)

Duke Williams: 20 targets, 10 catches, 138 Yds, 1 TD
Standard: 19.8 (122)
0.5 PPR: 24.8 (126)
1 PPR: 29.8 (127)
Isaiah McKenzie: 18 targets, 10 catches, 91 Yds, 0 TD

0.5 PPR: 14.1 (142)
1 PPR: 19.1 (142)
Stefon Diggs made the move to Buffalo. This will be key in Allen’s growth as a QB. John Brown is a decent WR, but he should never be a team’s first option. Diggs instantly slots in as the WR1 for the Bills. Allen has never had a WR with this kind of talent, and Diggs will definitely eclipse 100 targets as Allen continues developing rapport with his new toy. There is a real possibility Diggs outperforms these projections.
John Brown should still see his fair share of targets, and his ability to stretch the field will be key for unlocking Buffalo’s offensive potential. The 30 year old will still produce solid numbers, but look at 2019 like an outlier rather than the norm now that Diggs is in town.
Cole Beasley is still going to be a decent volume guy out of the slot, however, he is the clear third option in this receiving corps and I suspect we begin to see his numbers decline with age and the talent above him. That being said, he is still going to get his looks across the middle, and I expect him to remain semi-relevant especially in full PPR leagues.
The other three guys are not to be messed with outside of dynasty leagues. Davis has the highest upside, but the guys ahead of these three are going to limit the number of snaps and touches any of them receive. In addition, I expect Dawson Knox to have a real breakout in 2020, further limiting their potential in 2020.
This is easily the best WR corps Allen has had in his young career. I am digging Diggs, excited to see what Brown can do for me, and the rest of those guys, well, frankly suck in regards to fantasy production. Unless Josh Allen changes his name to Halpert, I doubt I get any Beasley exposure.
TE:
Dawson Knox:
Standard: 95.3 (8)
0.5 PPR: 117.8 (11)
1 PPR: 140.3 (13)
Tyler Kroft:
Standard: 16.2 (63)
0.5 PPR: 20.2 (64)
1 PPR: 24.2 (64)
Here comes the outrage. “Dawson Knox is not an elite TE!” “You are out of your mind, idiot.” “That’s it, I’m not reading any more of this garbage.” Hey, you made it this far, why not see where this rabbit hole goes? Dawson Knox is a freaking stud. He was raw in year one, but one thing to remember is the Bills didn’t really address TE this offseason. Because they, like me, know they have their TE already on the roster. Don’t be late getting on this train. Knox flashed serious upside in 2019, albeit in a limited fashion. However, TEs are notorious for taking time to develop, and by all accounts, Knox is a machine when it comes to workouts and preparation. I expect that preparation to translate into a huge breakout campaign for Knox.
28 catches on 50 targets for 388 yards with a 13.9 YPC and 2 TDs was Knox as a rookie. Knox will obliterate those numbers in 2020. Expect to see a more polished version, and the weapons around him should only open up the field more for this beast to feast on defenses all year. Don’t make me say I told you so at the end of the year. Snatch this guy late, thank me later. Fort Knox is gonna be a gold mine in 2020 and beyond. You are looking at one of the next great TEs folks.
Tyler Kroft is ok too, but sorry big guy, my heart belongs to Dawson. I expect modest production from Kroft. And that’s all I have to say about that.
In case you already forgot, draft Dawson Knox! I am super serial y’all. The guy is half man, half bear, half pig, which is awesome, terrifying, and delicious. Not many TEs get rushing opportunities either, because not many TEs are as athletically gifted as this former high school QB. Trust me. Knox 2020 is the campaign to support. Drops tend to be his big question, but that is so very correctable. I know you are tired of hearing about this guy by now. So I will stop.
And I will start again here. I jest, I jest. To summarize, I am projecting the Bills to score 1,205.48 fantasy points in 0.5 PPR, which would rank 23rd. However, so much of that production is focused on a select few players. On the whole, I want exposure to those few players, namely Allen, Diggs, and Knox, with a bit of Singletary sprinkled in. If you can snag these guys, do it, and avoid the rest like you owe them money.
