Week 6 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst RB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Deon Jackson 28.10 FP
12 Carries, 42 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 10 Receptions, 79 Receiving Yards (Projected: 11.16 FP)
Deon Jackson stepped up when the Colts lost both their two RBs to injury. Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines weren’t available in Week 6, but Deon took over. He caught 10 balls for 79 yards, and he rushed for 42 yards and a TD. He will need either or both RBs to be hurt to have a big role as an RB in fantasy football.
Silver DAWG: Kenyan Drake 18.70 FP
10 Carries, 119 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 1 Reception, 8 Receiving Yards (Projected: 4.55 FP)
Kenyan Drake looked the part as a possible RB1 for the Ravens when he ran for 119 yards and a TD. J.K. Dobbins experienced tightness in his surgically repaired knee. So Drake got all the carries after halftime. Check for updates if Dobbins can play as Drake can take over if JK will rest in Week 7.
Bronze DAWG: Rhamondre Stevenson 25.10 FP
19 Carries, 76 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs, 4 Receptions, 15 Receiving Yards (Projected: 15.60 FP)
Rhamondre Stevenson put in another great game with Damien Harris still out with a hamstring injury. Stevenson rushed 19 times for 76 yards and two TDs. He has looked amazing without Harris getting touches. Even if Damien returns for Week 7 against the Bears, Stevenson can still be relied on as an RB in fantasy football.
Golden FRAUD: Melvin Gordon 0.80 FP
3 Carries, 8 Rushing Yard (Projected: 12.81 FP)
Melvin Gordon disappeared in the Broncos’ loss to the LA Chargers. After rushing thrice for eight yards in the first quarter, Gordon never got a carry again for the rest of the game. Latavius Murray got almost all the carries after. Gordon will start in Week 7 against the Jets, according to reports. However, the situation is too messy to rely on Melvin as an RB in fantasy.
Silver FRAUD: Jeff Wilson 0.50 FP
7 Carries, 25 Rushing Yards, 1 Fumble Lost (Projected: 10.85 FP)
Jeff Wilson didn’t have a good day in the 49ers’ loss to the Falcons. He fumbled the ball, leading to the Falcons’ defense scoring a TD and increasing the lead. The 49ers got down big early, which limited the running game. He’ll hope to bounce back against the Chiefs in Week 7.
Bronze FRAUD: Kareem Hunt 1.20 FP
4 Carries, 12 Rushing Yards (Projected: 11.32 FP)
The Browns’ offense was miserable against the Patriots’ defense in their loss in Week 6. The running game was stopped, and this led to the worst game of the year for Kareem Hunt. Being down big made the team focused on the passing game even more. Look for a bounce-back game against the Ravens in Week 7.
