Week 7 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst RB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Josh Jacobs 36.50 FP
20 Carries, 143 Rushing Yards, 3 Rushing TDs, 3 Receptions, 12 Receiving Yards (Projected: 17.57 FP)
Josh Jacobs ran over the Texans’ defense in the Raiders’ 38-20 victory last Sunday in Week 7 football. He ran for 143 yards and three TDs as he has had an amazing three-game stretch. In three contests, he has 441 rushing yards and six rushing TDs. Currently, he’s limited at practice with a foot concern. Let’s see if he can make it to the matchup against the Saints in Week 8.
Silver DAWG: Austin Ekeler 36.70 FP
9 Carries, 31 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 1 Fumble, 12 Receptions, 96 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 20.35 FP)
Austin Ekeler proved why he is the top fantasy player at the moment this season. In the Week 7 loss to the Seahawks, Ekeler gathered 127 total yards and tried to rally the Chargers. He got both a receiving and rushing TD and has been Justin Herbert’s most reliable teammate. He has a chance to rest in Week 8 with a bye.
Bronze DAWG: Gus Edwards 18.60 FP
16 Carries, 66 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs (Projected: 2.86 FP)
Gus Edwards returned from injury and played an amazing game against the Browns. Kenyan Drake was the expected RB1 in this game, but Edwards just took over. He had 66 rushing yards and two TDs and helped propel the Ravens to victory. Let’s see if he’ll be ready for TNF against the Buccaneers, as he is questionable with a knee injury.
Golden FRAUD: Leonard Fournette 4.60 FP
8 Carries, 19 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions, 7 Receiving Yards (Projected: 17.72 FP)
Leonard Fournette didn’t have a good game in the upset loss to the Panthers. The Tampa RB only had 26 total yards in this game, as the Panthers’ defense played great on Sunday. He will have a date with the Ravens in Week 8 on TNF, where he hopes to bounce back.
Silver FRAUD: AJ Dillon 1.50 FP
4 Carries, 15 Rushing Yards (Projected: 10.43 FP)
AJ Dillon was absent in the Packers’ loss to the Commanders. He only got 15 yards on four carries. This was due to the Packers passing the ball more after being down at halftime. This was his lowest touch total in the season. He’ll have a tough assignment against the Bills in Week 8.
Bronze FRAUD: Kenyan Drake 0.50 FP
11 Carries, 5 Rushing Yards (Projected: 9.30 FP)
Kenyan Drake had a disappointing performance in Week 7 football against the Browns. In 11 carries, he only gathered five yards and was stopped by the Browns’ defense. It hurt that Gus Edwards looked great in his return. They have a TNF against Tampa Bay. It will be hard to trust Drake after his performance in Week 6.
