Week 8 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst RB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Alvin Kamara 42.80 FP
18 Carries, 62 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 9 Receptions, 96 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 17.92 FP)
Alvin Kamara finally had a receiving and rushing TD for the season and it took eight weeks into the season. The Saints RB dominated the offense with 62 rushing yards and 96 receiving yards with nine catches. Kamara is one of the most dangerous RBs when he gets hot. Look for him to lead the offense against the Ravens in Week 9.
Silver DAWG: Christian McCaffrey 40.26 FP
18 Carries, 94 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 8 Receptions, 55 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD, 34 Passing Yards, 1 Passing TD (Projected: 18.16 FP)
Christian McCaffrey had a TD hat trick in the 49ers’ dominant win over the LA Rams. The 49ers RB threw a 34-yard TD pass to Brandon Aiyuk. He rushed 18 times for 94 yards and a TD. CMC also caught eight balls for 55 yards and a TD. This feat hasn’t been done since 2005. His presence makes the 49ers the most unstoppable offense in the league.
Bronze DAWG: D’Onta Foreman 31.80 FP
26 Carries, 118 Rushing Yards, 3 Rushing TDs, 1 2-Pt Conversion (Projected: 11.39 FP)
D’Onta Foreman took over the starting job by playing his best game of the season. He balled out by rushing 26 times for 118 yards and 3 TDs. Chuba Hubbard is expected to return for Week 9 but we expect Foreman to have a big role as their main RB.
Golden FRAUD: Josh Jacobs 7.40 FP
10 Carries, 43 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions, 11 Receiving Yards (Projected: 17.85 FP)
Josh Jacobs was finally stopped in the Raiders’ 24-0 loss to the Saints. He only rushed for 43 yards and the entire offense didn’t look good against this New Orleans defense. Look for him to bounce back in Week 9 against the Jaguars.
Silver FRAUD: Jonathan Taylor 5.60 FP
16 Carries, 76 Rushing Yards, 1 Fumble Lost (Projected: 14.85 FP)
Jonathan Taylor failed to meet expectations again in the Colts’ loss to the Commanders in Week 8. JT rushed for 76 yards but failed to record a TD. Currently, his ankle injury has held him out of practice. Look for updates to determine if he will be ready for the Patriots next week.
Bronze FRAUD: Darrell Henderson 5 FP
4 Carries, 16 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions, 14 Receiving Yards (Projected: 12.27 FP)
Darrell Henderson had a tough week which ended with a loss to the 49ers. The Rams RB was sick and injured before the game. During the game, he only had four carries and Ronnie Rivers played more snaps than him. It’s getting difficult to trust Rams players not named Cooper Kupp.
