St. Jude Belly Up Bowl – Tebow

This is coming to you from the Tim Tebow division of the St. Jude Belly Up Bowl.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first of what will be many Wrangler Writeups. What is a Wrangler Writeup, you ask? Well as you know, my team name is Texas Wranglers. The Wrangler Writeup will be a publication I put out weekly during the season, making picks on which teams I think win. I will also do reports, post drafts, pre drafts, end of the season, stuff like that. It’s a way for me to keep the league up to date on league news, talk a little smack, and engage everyone in the league more. I hope you enjoy, I know I have fun doing these!

On to our post-draft writeup. I’m gonna categorize each team, project their week 1 starting lineup, and analyze what I think everyone’s strengths and weaknesses are. I will also share with you what I am projecting each team to score from my personal projections. Without further ado, on to the Tebow division teams!

Tebow Team 1: Mailmant6

QB M Stafford(286.9), K Cousins(268.76), Ranks: (13, 21)
RB C McCaffrey(313.2), M Ingram(162.9), M Mack(173.8), J Dobbins(128.9), C Hyde(49.9), R Armstead(45.6), A Dillon(56.8) Ranks: (2, 30, 27, 43, 68, 72, 66)
WR C Godwin(195.4), K Golladay(211.8), C Ridley(167.1), C Kirk(139.2), M Pittman(116.3) Ranks: (14, 7, 29, 43, 57)
TE E Engram(115.8), A Hooper(107) Ranks: (13, 18)
STRENGTHS: Three stud WRs, CMC, depth/potential at RB
WEAKNESS: WR depth, low-floor tertiary RBs,
START: Stafford, CMC, Ingram, Godwin, Golladay, Ridley, Engram, Mack, Kirk
Stafford offers consistency at QB with good upside, Cousins is a solid backup option. The Ingram/Dobbins stack was a great one. Mack, Kirk, and Pittman have upside. Chose RB potential over deeper WR bench. TE could be a strength, especially if Engram stays healthy. It is certainly not a weakness regardless.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Your team sucks, my team is better, and you shoulda drafted Barkley at 1!

Tebow Team 2: ItsZachMac

QB D Watson(345.32), T Tagovailoa(130.4), Ranks: (2,32)
RB S Barkley(335.5), C Carson(230.5), R Mostert(180.2), P Lindsay(147.7), D Henderson(133.5) Ranks: (1, 12, 25, 34, 40)
WR M Evans(197.4), E Sanders(135), D Jackson(68.6), J Landry(182.2), J Ross(51.3), T Higgins(78.6), D Mims(122.5) Ranks: (13, 45, 90, 20, 98, 82, 52)
TE M Andrews(124.8), H Hurst(117.9) Ranks: (7, 10)
STRENGTHS: Watson, Saquon Carson combo, RB depth potential, Tight end
WEAKNESS: Backup QB, health concerns at skill positions.
START: Watson, Barkley, Carson, Evans, Landry, Sanders, Mostert, Lindsay
Watson is elite, Barkley Carson combo is an amazing 1-2 punch. The other backs have nice ceiling-floor combos. The WR corps is solid, not spectacular, closer to strength than weakness. Those tight ends are excellent. Gonna have issues knowing which to start.
That being said, you won’t beat me. If Watson goes down early you are through. You are gonna start the wrong guys every week. Hockey is your game Zach, welcome to mine!

Tebow Team 3: MakersMark4

QB R Wilson(342.42), J Goff(264.56) Ranks: (3,22)
RB E Elliot(289.3), C Edwards-Helaire(196.8), T Coleman(119.6), N Hines(97.5), T Pollard(90.6) Ranks: (3, 19, 44, 48, 52)
WR D Hopkins(221.6), A Thielen(180.1), T Lockett(185.8), L Fitzgerald(104.8), J Brown(118.5), C Samuel(118.9), D Westbrook(79) Ranks: (5, 23, 18, 62, 55, 54, 81)
TE D Waller(158.1), H Henry(120.4) Ranks: (3, 9)
STRENGTHS: Wilson, Zeke/CEH, Three great WR, TE.
WEAKNESS: RB depth ceilings, flex depth/quality is questionable
START: Watson, Zeke, CEH, Hopkins, Lockett, Thielen, Waller, Henry, Coleman
There is high-end talent here. Wilson is elite, Zeke and Hop too. He has two elite TE. There is a lot to like here, but the depth is questionable. CEH is still unknown, Coleman Hines and Pollard are no sure things. But the starters are pretty solid. And Goff as backup is a good scenario.
That being said, you won’t beat me. CEH is overrated. The RB depth is iffy. Your team is good, but not good enough. Because you are in my division. And your depth is gonna be an issue with COVID.

Tebow Team 4: Bretthicks2

QB A Rodgers(302.42), B Mayfield(273.62) Ranks: (8,18)
RB T Gurley(222.4), J Taylor(185.2), R Jones(150.4), K Vaughn(159.3) Ranks: (16, 23, 33, 31)
WR M Thomas(277.9), J Jones(220.1), A Jeffery(107.3), J Crowder(129), C Beasley(84.5), K Bourne(80.7), R Gage(88.9), An Brown(NA), S Sims(103.4) Ranks: (1, 6, 61, 49, 75, 80, 70, NA, 64)
TE Z Ertz(153), N Fant(115.8) Ranks:(5,14)
STRENGTHS: QB depth, elite WR duo, and depth, TE
WEAKNESS: RB depth, and potentially no elite.
START: Rodgers, Gurley, Taylor, Thomas, Jones, Crowder, Ertz, Vaughn, Jones.
Reminder, Damien Williams was drafted, before we knew he would opt-out. Gage was picked up post-draft. So much depends on the Buccaneers backfield. Having Jones/Vaughn is a good feeling, Gurley has high ceiling low floor, and Taylor is unknown. But this is the best WR duo in the league. And there is lots of depth behind them, with potential upside. QB and TE are set. Could be starting Fant in flex eventually.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Drafting Damien Williams hurt your RB situation. It is a problem now. You better pray Gurley and Taylor both explode. It won’t be enough, because I am going to smoke you Brett. Sorry, not sorry.

Tebow Team 5: MafiaAffiliated

QB D Prescott(342.1), B Roethlisberger(275.46), D Jones(302.16) Ranks: (4,16, 9)
RB A Kamara(266.7), L Fournette(228.1), K Hunt(140.2), S Michel(135.9) Ranks: (5, 14, 36, 39)
WR C Kupp(183.6), T Boyd(165.9), M Wiliams(157.2), J Jefferson(141,3), R Anderson(111.2), N Harry (70.6) Ranks: (19, 30, 36, 42, 60, 86)
TE G Kittle(183.9), E Ebron(93.6), I Smith(92.4) Ranks: (2, 24, 25)
STRENGTHS:QB, my goodness. Elite RB duo, elite TE.
WEAKNESS: Lacking WR1, Rbs have some questions.
START: Prescott, Kamara, Fournette, Kupp, Boyd, Williams, Kittle, Jefferson, Hunt
This team doesn’t have many weaknesses. QB is locked. Rb is solid, but I have some concerns. WR has talent, but gonna be iffy as far as T1 production. TE is settled. Can’t be too nitpicky here, it’s a solid starting lineup.
That being said, you won’t beat me. RB depth is an issue, And the WR corps is not exactly known. Plus, I work with horses, so if you try to beat me, I will put a horse’s head somewhere, I don’t remember how it works. I don’t really know how the Mafia works tbh.

Tebow Team 6: Ryanhicks63

QB:J Allen(336.08), G Minshew(275.46) Ranks: (6,17)
RB D Henry(273.9), A Ekeler(232.2), J White(153.8), D Guice(200), R Penny(74.2), J Jackson(87.5), A Gibson(110.6) Ranks: (4, 11, 32, 18, 56, 54, 45)
WR AJ Brown(246.3), A Green(179.4), D Chark(204.8), A Lazard(113.6), D Samuel(164.3) Ranks: (3, 24, 11, 59, 32),
TE M Gesicki,(155.6) J Sternberger(99.7) Ranks: (4,20)
STRENGTHS: QB, elite RB duo, excellent starting WRs, TE elite upside.
WEAKNESS: unproven TE, WRs with questions/injury concerns,
START: Allen, Henry, Ekeler, AJB, Chark, AJG, Gesicki, Gibson, White
Of course, I am going to love my team. I struggled with weaknesses, but from outside looking in, Gesicki as TE1 might not make some people happy, and AJG health plus Guice debacle are concerns. However, I am stoked about my team!
That being said, oh wait, this is me. I am gonna win the league. Enough said. So glad I drafted Gibson too!

Tebow Team 7: Smokewagons

QB K Murray(304.38), M Ryan(286.48), D Lock(243.92) Ranks: (7, 14, 26)
RB J Jacobs(222.6), A Jones(243.6), D Montgomery(195.3), C Akers(168.3), Z Moss(105.1) Ranks: (14, 8, 20, 29, 46)
WR O Beckham(1181.2), D Slayton(188.2), Di Johnson(148.6), B Perriman(90.1), P Campbell(77.6), B Aiyuk(93.1) Ranks: (22, 17, 37, 68, 83, 65)
TE J Smith(112.5), C Herndon(96.3) Ranks: (15,21)
STRENGTHS: QB upside, RB upside, WR upside, TE upside. Really a lot of upside on this roster.
WEAKNESS: Unproven RB depth, questions at WR.
START: Murray, Jacobs, Jones, Slayton, Beckham, Johnson, Jonnu, Montgomery, Akers
This team has incredible potential. Monty, Akers, and Moss could all breakout. Beckham, Slayton, and Johnson all have high ceilings, Murray has more weapons. Jonnu could ascend. The only weakness is the potential could not be met on a few of these guys.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Gonna need those rookie RBs to perform and not sure they will. WR lacks sure things. Smokewagons stole Slayton right out from under me, so he has called down my wrath. He is going to have awful luck this year because of his transgressions.

Tebow Team 8: WinosOffTheStreet

QB P Mahomes(389.04), T Brady(292.26), T Taylor(103.86) Ranks: (1, 12, 34)
RB Da Johnson(195), D Swift(183), Du Johnson(133.3), B Scott(92.7), A McFarland(50) Ranks: (21, 24, 41, 50, 67)
WR T Hill(247.2), D Metcalf(193.4), B Cooks(146.7), J Jeudy(130.6), S Watkins(86.5), H Ruggs(138.7) Ranks: (2, 15, 38, 46, 73, 44)
TE R Gronkowski(117.4), O Howard(62.9) Ranks: (12, 32)
STRENGTHS: Freakin Mahomes, Freakin HIll stack. Strong WR corps with youth upside,.
WEAKNESS: RB depth and star power, TE questions
START: Mahomes, Da Johnson, D Swift, Hill, Metcalf, Cooks, Gronk, Du Johnson, Ruggs
This team got the best stack. There are questions at RB but upside. WR has significant upside, and TE has a wide range on ceiling and floor. Backup QB is locked too.
That being said, you won’t beat me. There are real questions at RB. WR has nice potential but lacks proven performance, and has depth questions too. TE is no sure thing with all the other weapons in Tampa.

Tebow Team 9: Dwhitmore

QB C Wentz(296.76), C Newton(261.4) Ranks: (11, 23)
RB D Cook(265.3), L Bell(217.8), A Peterson(63.9), D Freeman(NA), J Howard(138.8) Ranks: (6, 17, 62, NA, 37)
WR D Adams(221.9), A Cooper(204.3), R Woods(175.4), D Parker(207), J Edelman(143.5), T WIlliams(123.2), A MIller(117.6) Ranks: (4, 12, 26, 9, 41, 51, 56)
TE T Higbee(90.9), D Goedert(106.1) Ranks: (27, 19)
STRENGTHS: RB duo, elite and deep WR corps, upside at QB/TE
WEAKNESS: Rb depth, Te concerns, QB injury concerns.
START: Wentz, Cook, Bell, Adams, Parker, Cooper, Goedert, Woods, Edelman
Those WRS are the best in the league. I consider three of them WR1s. And that’s with me low on Woods, who has that potential. Cook and Bell pair nicely, but outside that, there are depth concerns. Qb offers upside and risk, as does TE. I am personally low on Higbee, he could fix any TE issues if he does well.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Both your QBs have injury questions. Heck, your top 2 RBs have both missed time recently too. WR should be solid. But TE could be a letdown, I am low on Higbee. Michael Scott would be proud of your profile pic, but not your team!

Tebow Team 10: Wattymcwatfry

QB L Jackson(340.26), T Bridgewater(223.64) Ranks: (5,29)
RB J Mixon(232.8), J Conner(194.4), M Gordon(179.2), L Murray(131.9), D Harris(16.3), A Mattison(90.3) Ranks: (10, 22, 26, 42, 93, 53)
WR M Brown(163.4), T McLaurin(181.7), M Gallup(177.3), W Fuller(124.9), G Tate(103.5), J Reagor(145.7) Ranks: (33, 21, 25, 50, 63, 40)
TET Hockenson(120.8), B Jarwin(107.1) Ranks: (8, 17)
STRENGTHS: Jackson Brown stack, upside at RB, potential at WR and TE
WEAKNESS: Backup QB in case of Lamar injury, Wr depth questions, Unproven TE.
START: Lamar, Mixon, Conner, McLaurin, Gallup, Brown, Hockenson, Gordon, Reagor
Another high potential team. A healthy Conner could be huge, along with a healthy Fuller. TE has real upside, as does WR. Low floor on those WRs also.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Jackson will regress, and Teddy is not a good fantasy QB. Outside Mixon, your backs have concern. You have major potential at WR, but injuries and uncertainty are concerns. Plus, my team is just better. So there.

Tebow Team 11: DirrtyHarry5

QB P Rivers(270.14), R Tannehil(279.06) Ranks: (19, 15)
RB K Drake(230.1), M Breida(97.5), J WIlliams(93.7), C Edmonds(58.2), K Johnson(136.2), D Evans(90.8) Rank: (13, 47, 48, 64, 38,51)
WR J Smith-Schuster(210.5), K Allen(161.8), A Robinson(190.4), S Diggs(173.2), M Hardman(146), C Lamb(130.1) Ranks: (8, 34, 16, 27, 39, 48)
TE Kelce(199.7), J Doyle(109.6) Ranks: (1, 16)
STRENGTHS: WR deeeep, and so much talent, TE locked in.
WEAKNESS: QB ceiling, RB2 issues.
START: Tannehill, Drake, K Johnson, JuJu, ARob, Diggs, Kelce, Allen, Hardman
What a deep WR corps. QB production should be solid enough, TE is gold, at RB Drake is the only excitement. The RB situation is concerning. But WR, my gosh. All 6 are top 50 guys IMO.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Rivers and Tannehill are ok. But who you start at RB2 could be a real problem. The WR corps should be fine, and Kelce is Kelce. But the rest concerns me, and it should concern you, because wow my team is good.

Tebow Team 12: CPBravo11

QB D Brees(300.58), J Burrow(269.5) Ranks: (10, 20)
RB N Chubb(246.5), M Sanders(241.3), D SIngletary(170.8), T Cohen(142.7), L McCoy(9.1) Ranks: (7, 9, 28, 35 ,101)
WR D Moore(172.7), C Sutton(205), M Jones(158.8), T Hilton(165.9), S Shepard(120.4), H Renfrow(87.2), P Williams(130.5) Ranks:(28, 10, 35, 31, 53, 71, 47)
TE J Cook(130), D Asiasi(49) Ranks: (6, 41)
STRENGTHS: Beastly 1-2 combo at RB, top 5 WR are excellent, quality depth.
WEAKNESS: Brees/Cook age, Rb depth has low floor
START: Brees, Chubb, Sanders, Sutton, Moore, Hilton, Cook, Singletary, M Jones
Not many weaknesses here. If Brees remains elite, this team looks set to compete. Chubb Sanders is excellent, Sutton, Moore, Hilton is very good, Cook can be elite still, and Wr has some depth. Upside at RB depth too.
That being said, you won’t beat me. Your team has no huge weaknesses. But Cook is older and may regress. Brees too. Singletary isn’t guaranteed, and I expect regression from Moore because of Teddy. Plus, as I have referenced before, my team is freaking awesome!

Well, the first Wrangler Writeup is in the books, folks. From all of us in the Tim Tebow Division, have an awesome season, and I will see you in the playoffs! In case you forgot, I am winning this sucker, so enjoy playing for second place!
