Who do I start and who do I sit? Ah yes, the age-old question in fantasy football. Well, you should start your studs and sit those who may lay an egg for your team any given week. The goal in fantasy football is obviously to start the right players. Players who can put up big numbers for a combined point total to beat your league-mates and to try and avoid the inevitable dud performance which can always be hard to predict.
***DISCLAIMER: When I say “sit em’” for a particular player, that doesn’t mean you are actually going to bench them unless I explicitly tell you to do so. Rather, it means to simply temper expectations as I predict that they are not going to score more points than they are projected to on the PrizePicks app.
QBs
Start: Trevor Lawrence – Projected for 17.5 FPTS: He will hit the OVER. Lawrence has been on one the last three games. A 76.8 completion percentage, 815 passing yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Now he gets to face the Lions who give up the most points to opposing teams and fantasy QBs. The whole offense should feast.
Sit: Deshaun Watson – Projected for 19.5 FPTS: He will finish UNDER that score.
RBs
Start: Josh Jacobs – Projected for 20.0 FPTS: He will finish UNDER that score, but will have a very nice game. The chargers are the second-worst defense against the run, I am not concerned about Jacob’s injury, and he is very much involved in the passing game…unlike my sit for the week (below).
Sit: Alvin Kamara – Projected for 15.5 FPTS: He will finish UNDER that score.
WRs
Start: Christian Kirk – Projected for 14.0 FPTS: He will hit the OVER.
Sit: Mike Evans – Projected for 13.0 FPTS: He will finish UNDER that score. Evans has struggled the last three games and now has the always-fun matchup against New Orleans. I wouldn’t be surprised if Evans finds the endzone, but do not expect too much else from him, despite the Saints being the ninth worst defense against WRs.
TEs
Start: Daniel Bellinger – Projected for 4.5 FPTS: He will hit the OVER. Bellinger should be returning from a fractured eye socket injury and should see a huge bulk of the targets with Richie James and Darius Slayton potentially missing the game with injuries of their own. Huge depth play start, but hey, I like to be bold.
Sit: Hayden Hurst – Projected for 9.5 FPTS: He will finish UNDER that score.
