Who do I start, and who do I sit? Ah, yes, the age-old question in fantasy football. Well, you should start your studs and sit those who may lay an egg for your team any given week. The goal in fantasy football is obviously to start the right players. Players who can put up big numbers for a combined point total to beat your league-mates and to try and avoid the inevitable dud performance, which can always be hard to predict.
***DISCLAIMER: When I say “sit em’” for a particular player, that doesn’t mean you are actually going to bench them unless I explicitly tell you to do so. Rather, it means to temper expectations as I predict that they are not going to score more points than they are projected to on the PrizePicks app.
QBs
Start: Justin Herbert – Herbert is going up against the Titans, who have allowed the most points to the WR position. With his WR core healthy and performing well, there is no reason Herbert shouldn’t carry you to a first-round playoff victory. He could and will likely finish as a QB3 or higher this week.
Sit: Dak Prescott
RBs
Start: Isiah Pacheco & Jerick McKinnon – Both are going up against the Texans. They recently allowed RB1 finishes to Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliot in the same game. There is absolutely no reason why these guys can’t do the same thing. One has pure yards and TD upside, and the other has huge PPR upside in the receiving game.
Sit: Kenneth Walker III
WRs
Start: Elijah Moore – Since Mike White became the starting QB, he has been seeing a huge increase in targets. The other positive fact is that the Lions give up a TON of points to the opposing slot WR position, which Moore usually plays from. This game should also likely be high-scoring, so there is a chance for points in just about every facet of the game.
Sit: JuJu Smith-Schuster
TEs
Start: Mark Andrews – Andrews, when healthy, seems to perform well against the Browns and always gets a lot of targets. Since returning to full health, he has seen between seven and nine targets each game. Now, he also has an interesting QB situation. He A: either gets a QB who peppered him with 10, 13, and 16 targets in games he played, or B: gets a young QB making his first start who may use Andrews as a safety net. Wheels up for one of his biggest games of the season.
Sit: Gerald Everett
