Start ‘Em Or Sit ‘Em: Week 16 – Playoffs RD 2

Who do I start, and who do I sit? Ah, yes, the age-old question in fantasy football. Well, you should start your studs and sit those who may lay an egg for your team any given week. The goal in fantasy football is obviously to start the right players. Players who can put up big numbers for a combined point total to beat your league-mates and to try and avoid the inevitable dud performance, which can always be hard to predict.

***DISCLAIMER: When I say “sit em’” for a particular player, that doesn’t mean you are actually going to bench them unless I explicitly tell you to do so. Rather, it means to temper expectations as I predict that they are not going to score more points than they are projected to on the PrizePicks app.

QBs

START: Tua Tagovailoa – One of the better games of the weekend is going to be the Dolphins against the Packers. Should be a shootout, which means a lot of passing from one of the best QBs this season, a definite Pro Bowl snub. He has the WRs to help him finish very high on the week, most likely a top five finish.

SIT: Trevor Lawrence – Weather is going to be a huge factor in this game, but he gets it done with Evan Engram and Zay Jones. Still, likely a low fantasy performance from him.

RBs

START: Jerick McKinnon

SIT: Nick Chubb – While the Saints run defense has really let their guard down over the back-half of the season, Chubb has scored under 10 FPTS in four of the last 5 games. Yes, this means he has been bad for fantasy since Deshaun Watson returned. The over/under for the game is currently at 31.5, one of the lowest of the season. Now we are hearing that he could be dealing with a foot injury? No thank you, especially not in the playoff semi-finals.

WRs

START: DeAndre Hopkins – Now I know what you are probably thinking, “he has to play with Trace McSorely, he’ll do terrible.” That is where you are wrong. Now I know that he did not have a good showing when he came into the game for the concussed Colt McCoy, but he has had a full week of practice to get acclimated with the offense in game time speed. Remember, Hopkins has done just fine with some of the worst QBs in Texans’ history.

SIT: Christian Kirk

TEs

START: Evan Engram – Yes, Engram can win you your week. Yes, I also understand I mentioned Lawrence as a QB sit. He will be throwing the most to Engram and then to Zay Jones. You will be finding Engram in the end zone at least once on Thursday Night Football presented by Prime Video, and he will have plenty of receptions and yards to add on to his fantasy score.

SIT: Dawson Knox
