Week 11 is underway and let’s hope we don’t have to deal with as many fantasy football injuries today as we did on the Thursday night game between Baltimore and Cincinnati. We lost two greats for the season in Joe Burrow and Mark Andrews and we wish them nothing but the best on their road to recovery. Follow The Eye Test on TikTok for waiver wire pickups so you can fill those new positions if you’re a Burrow or Andrews owner. But for now, let’s focus on who to start or sit for today’s games.
Start
De’von Achane

He deserves a start thanks to his explosiveness in Weeks 3-5. Even though Mostert is healthy, look for Mike McDaniel to use Achane creatively. We’ve seen him used between the 20s and in the red zone. The run game and the passing game. Achane fits perfectly with this speedy Dolphins offense and he gets an easy matchup for his first game back against the Raiders who have given up the 5th most points to Fantasy Running Backs. Also, the Raiders have given up 151 rushing yards on average over the last three games. That should be enough to start De’von Achane.
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown
Embed from Getty ImagesAlthough it hasn’t been pretty this season, and especially over the last two weeks, Marquise Brown finds himself as a startable flex player in Week 11. Now that Kyler Murray is back and they’ve had another week to practice with each other, I would expect them to have a very productive connection like they did last year. When Murray is Brown’s quarterback, he averages nine targets. Brown has had five games with nine or more targets. In those games, he’s scored an average of 14.5 fantasy points. So if you’re wondering whether to start or sit Marquise Brown, go ahead and start him.
DeVonta Smith

In 2022, during that span of no Goedert, Smith averaged 8 targets and 16 fantasy points a game. Smith has been very hot and cold this year but with the Goedert injury look for some more consistency. DeVonta Smith should be a comfortable start at your WR2 position even though he has a tough matchup against Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Smith has scored a touchdown in each of his last two games.
Sit
Amari Cooper
Embed from Getty ImagesNow that Deshaun Watson is out and Dorian Thompson-Robinson is in I’d like to give it a week to see if these two have a connection because they certainly did not in week 4 when they played together against the Ravens. Cooper had 1 catch on 6 targets for 16 yards that week and it seems like he is going to be a victim of poor QB play for the rest of the season.
Josh Allen
Embed from Getty ImagesI can’t believe I’m saying this but this is the week you sit Josh Allen. He goes against the Jets who have given up the least amount of points to quarterbacks and when they played each other earlier in Week 1 Allen only put up 12 points. His biggest issue has been the amount of interceptions he’s thrown. He threw 3 picks against the Jets in Week 1 and has thrown at least 1 pick in every game since Week 5. Josh Allen may be the QB1 but he won’t be in Week 11. Sit Josh Allen for this week only if you have other quarterbacks on your roster like C.J. Stroud or Dak Prescott.
Puka Nacua
Embed from Getty ImagesEven though Puka scored 23 points against the Seahawks in Week 1, now they know what to expect out of this talented rookie. I don’t see this happening again even though Matthew Stafford will be back today. Since Kupp has come back from injury, Puka has had more games below 10 points than above. Sadly, the Puka hype is coming to an end and it’s time to sit Puka Nacua for the time being.
