TE Fantasy Football: DAWGS Or FRAUDS Week 2

Week 2 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst TE Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.

Golden DAWG: Mark Andrews 25.70 FP

9 Receptions, 104 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD, 1 Carry, 3 Rushing Yards (Projected: 14.82 FP)

Mark Andrews is being tackled by Dolphins defenders

Mark Andrews was a beast against the Dolphins. He caught nine of his 11 targets for 104 receiving yards and a receiving TD. Look for Lamar Jackson to continue to target Andrews in the passing game, as he is the favorite receiver and might be the best TE in fantasy football.

Silver DAWG: Mike Gesicki 14.10 FP

4 Receptions, 41 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 3.57 FP)

Mike Gesicki bounced back and helped spark the rally for the Miami Dolphins in their comeback victory. He caught all four of his targets for 41 yards and caught an incredible TD to spark the second half. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are the favorite receivers of Tua Tagovailoa so let’s see if Gesicki can continue to produce.

Bronze DAWG: Reggie Gilliam 9.70 FP

2 Receptions, 17 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 0.19 FP)

Have a day Reggie Gilliam. He came out of nowhere and got two receptions for 17 yards and a receiving TD. His game revolves mostly around special teams and blocking, so it was a performance no one expected.

Golden FRAUD: Kyle Pitts 3.90 FP

2 Receptions, 19 Receiving Yards (Projected: 12.01 FP)

It might be time to panic for Kyle Pitts‘ owners. For the second straight game, Pitts was limited to 19 receiving yards and just three targets. Marcus Mariota focused more on Drake London, who had 12 targets. You might want to buy low on him in case he breaks out later.

Silver FRAUD: Travis Kelce 10.10 FP

5 Receptions, 51 Receiving Yards (Projected: 18.21 FP)

Travis Kelce has the difficulty of being projected to perform like a WR. He had 10 points which is a good game for a TE. He led the Chiefs receivers with seven targets. Patrick Mahomes decided to spread the ball around. Expect Kelce to bounce back and show his elite skills next week.

Bronze FRAUD: T.J. Hockenson 5.60 FP

3 Receptions, 26 Receiving Yards (Projected: 12.38 FP)

T.J. Hockenson had the opportunity to produce but failed to cash in. He caught three of seven targets for just 26 yards. It’s getting a little difficult for him, especially with the emergence of Amon-Ra St. Brown as the reliable receiver.
