Week 7 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst TE Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Juwan Johnson 20.20 FP
5 Receptions, 32 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 6.84 FP)
Juwan Johnson more than tripled his expected performance in the Saints’ Week 7 loss to the Cardinals. The Saints’ TE caught five passes for 32 yards and two TDs. With the receivers of New Orleans all hurt, Johnson can use this platform to showcase his talents. Look for him to be a solid TE against the Raiders next week.
Silver DAWG: George Kittle 21.80 FP
6 Receptions, 98 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 11.54 FP)
George Kittle balled out on National TE Day. He caught his first TD pass of the season and had a season-high 98 yards on six catches. He’ll block less with Trent Williams coming back, but Christian McCaffrey‘s arrival might affect his touches. Let’s see how he’ll do against the LA Rams in Week 8.
Bronze DAWG: Jordan Akins 9.80 FP
3 Receptions, 68 Receiving Yards (Projected: 0 FP)
Jordan Akins played his best game of the season when he caught three passes for 68 yards. He took advantage of Brevin Jordan being sidelined and led the Texans in yards this game. With Brevin coming back, Akins’ snaps will probably decrease going forward.
Golden FRAUD: Mark Andrews 0.40 FP
1 Carry, 4 Rushing Yards (Projected: 17.21 FP)
Mark Andrews played hurt in his worst game of the season. He got all his fantasy points from a carry for four yards. No one expected this, but his injury might be worse than imagined. Currently, he is questionable with a knee injury for TNF against Tampa Bay. Be ready for updates in case he can’t play.
Silver FRAUD: Kyle Pitts 3.90 FP
3 Receptions, 9 Receiving Yards (Projected: 9.89 FP)
The Atlanta Falcons decided to pass just 13 times, even if they were down big to the Bengals in their Week 7 loss. This showed especially in Kyle Pitts‘ statline, where he caught just three catches for nine yards. It has been a rough season for Pitts, with Marcus Mariota as the QB. The Falcons’ TE may be in the running for fantasy football’s biggest bust this year.
Bronze FRAUD: Noah Fant 1.70 FP
1 Reception, 7 Receiving Yards (Projected: 6.39 FP)
Noah Fant had his worst game of the season against the Chargers, where he caught just one pass for seven yards. Fant has been difficult, especially since he shares the same position with Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson. Both had more production in this game than him. This makes him difficult to assess in fantasy.
