Week 8 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst TE Fantasy Football performances of the week. Note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.
Golden DAWG: Tyler Conklin 25.90 FP
6 Receptions, 79 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs (Projected: 5.06 FP)
Tyler Conklin had his best game with Zach Wilson as his QB in their loss to the Patriots. He caught six passes for 79 yards and a couple of TDs. Conklin was targeted often when Joe Flacco was the QB. Hopefully, the Jets TE can repeat his performance as they face the Bills at home.
Silver DAWG: Isaiah Likely 19.70 FP
6 Receptions, 77 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 3.31 FP)
Isaiah Likely stepped up for the Ravens as they got a crucial win over the Buccaneers. With Mark Andrews hurt from multiple injuries, the Ravens’ backup TE caught six passes for 77 yards and a TD. With Andrews still resting from practice, Likely might have another good game with him against the Saints.
Bronze DAWG: Kyle Pitts 19 FP
5 Receptions, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 8.27 FP)
Kyle Pitts finally showed up in the Falcons’ win over the Panthers. The Falcons TE caught five passes for 80 yards and a TD. His five receptions were a season-high and his 80 yards led the team. It’s been difficult to gauge Pitts in fantasy. He hopes to continue this performance against the Chargers.
Golden FRAUD: Tyler Higbee 3.50 FP
2 Receptions, 15 Receiving Yards (Projected: 11.29 FP)
Tyler Higbee missed a potential TD catch that could have helped the Rams. The Rams TE caught only two of six targets for just 15 yards. He has struggled the past few games and he hopes to bounce back against Tampa Bay in Week 9.
Silver FRAUD: Juwan Johnson 3.40 FP
2 Receptions, 14 Receiving Yards (Projected: 8.81 FP)
Juwan Johnson had a down game after his impressive outing against the Cardinals last week. Against the Raiders, the Saints TE only caught two balls for 14 yards. Alvin Kamara was amazing in this game so they kept on feeding him the ball. With Michael Thomas potentially out for the year, Juwan might have a strong second half to the season.
Bronze FRAUD: Austin Hooper 1.50 FP
1 Reception, 5 Receiving Yards (Projected: 6.33 FP)
The Titans only threw the ball 10 times in their win against the Texans. Austin Hooper was limited to just one catch for five yards. This was expected with Malik Willis as the starting QB and Derrick Henry‘s dominance against the Texans. It’s difficult to trust any Titans’ receiver at this point.
