This Could Be Your Dynasty Team (March 2022)

This is a fun article I’ve done before. The idea is that I only draft players with an ADP behind the round I would be drafting in. In doing so, I create a team that you could very likely end up having without much competition from your league. This could be your dynasty team.

I am using Sleeper ADP for a somewhat average 12-team Superflex league. The goal is to form a team that fills every positional need along with a backup at each position. Furthermore, I wanted to form a team that could compete this year but still has a chance to fight for the championship three years from now.

The Draft

So here’s the potential draft. You’ll see I listed the round, the player name, their position, and their current ADP.

  1. Javonte Williams – RB (13)
  2. Russell Wilson – QB (36)
  3. Tee Higgins – WR (43)
  4. Aaron Rodgers – QB (52)
  5. Josh Jacobs – RB (63)
  6. Mike Evans – WR (85)
  7. Leonard Fournette – RB (99)
  8. Dalton Schultz – TE (106)
  9. James Conner -RB (112)
  10. Allen Robinson -WR (124)
  11. Brandin Cooks – WR (135)
  12. Irv Smith Jr – TE (152)
  13. Matt Ryan – QB (167)

Wrap-Up

This is not how I’d normally draft, but it’s an interesting exercise to show how you could form a pretty well-balanced win-now and win-later team using such limitations. Also, this might not be one of my more useful articles but I hope it’s at least an interesting read that could potentially point out some good values in drafts.
