Top 12 Rankings List: RE-Draft QB’s

Howdy, y’all! Christopher Pinto, here of Belly Up Fantasy Sports. With the NFL Draft set to take place at the end of the month, I could not think of a better way to make my debut than by sharing my pre-draft top 12 rankings at each position for re-draft PPR leagues. During this series, I will give stats and my own personal rankings for each position. Finally, my most anticipated Rankings List drops. Today I will rank the quarterback position. Quarterbacks are the face of your team and could score upwards of 30 or more points per week. For my fantasy teams, the quarterback position has always been an afterthought. Until Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes crushed Fantasy Championships. These guys are lighting in a bottle waiting to explode. The quarterback position has evolved over the past five seasons and there are a lot of ways to rank your guys. I’ve used film, stats, and my gut to bring you my Re-Draft Top 12 Rankings List: Quarterback Edition.

12) Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints

Top 12 Rankings List: 12/12 Drew Brees

Drew Brees lands in my top 12 rankings list at the top of the order. The 6’0″ 209lb former Purdue Boilermaker ranked number twenty-two among quarterbacks in terms of fantasy points scored; 228.8 total. He completed 74.3% of all passes for 2,979 yards, 27 touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions. Brees comes off another historic season and looks to continue that trend all the way to the booth. His offense also gains a veteran WR in Manny Sanders which bodes well for the HOF quarterback, look for Brees to have another great season.

In conclusion, if Brees plays through the entire season he will finish in the top 12 and be a weekly QB1.

11) Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons

Top 12 Rankings List: 11/12 Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan squeaks into my top 12 rankings at the eleventh spot. The 6’4″ 217lb former BC Eagle ranked eleventh in terms of fantasy points scored; 281.4 total. He completed 66.2% of all passes for 4,466 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Ryan gains stud RB Todd Gurley which should help take the pressure off of the veteran and has the most consistent WR in the game Julio Jones.

In summary, things are looking bright for Ryan and the Falcons for the 2020 season. I rank Ryan here and due to the offense situation alone will be a weekly top QB1.

10) Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Top 12 Rankings List: 10/12 Tom Brady

Tom Brady makes my top 12 rankings at the tenth spot. The 6’4″ 225lb former Michigan Wolverine ranked twelfth in terms of fantasy points scored; 271.6 total. He completed 60.8% of all passes for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. The G.O.A.T. starts a new novel in his storied legacy in the NFL. For the first time in his professional career he won’t be at the helm of the New Englan Patriots. He starts fresh in Tampa Bay, fantasy-wise he gets two top 12 receivers and a play-caller who loves to see the ball downfield. This should be very exciting to watch come the regular season.

In conclusion, Tom Brady will be a in the top 12 conversation all off season, and he will be a QB1 by the end of the season.

He completed 64.3% of all passes for 2,499 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. Stafford missed the end of the season but put up amazing numbers prior.

In conclusion, he looks to pick up right were he left with WR Kenny Golladay. Matty Ice will be a top ten guy week in and week out and should solidify a QB1 finish.

8) Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers

Top 12 Rankings List: 8/12 Aaron Rodgers
