In-person drafts are still bigger than ever and can’t be topped. Getting together with some buddies, cracking a few brews, and ragging on each other for a few hours builds a lifetime of memories! But since covid and other variables, remote drafts have slowly become more of a thing, and there are plenty of ways to still have that in-person feeling while sitting at home. Here are our Top Five Ways to Remote Draft.
5. Skype
Ah yes, skype… it really only makes our list because it is a video option but still is a viable option to see who you are going up against. The messaging is clunky; you have to toggle back and forth, and it would be difficult to share the draft board.
4. FaceTime
Yes, we get it. Not all people are iPhone users. So this would have to be a perfect scenario for it to work but nonetheless an option. Remember, this write-up is all about options!
3. StreamYard
StreamYard gets the slight nod here over Facetime and Skype but only because of the options you have and the ability to live stream it on almost any social media outlet. But to get up to 10 people on one stream, it comes at a minimal cost of $20.
2. Zoom
Zoom would be our second to best option due to the options and ability to host up to 100 members for free. But anything over an hour also comes as a cost, like StreamYard, either $14.99 for ProPlan or $19.99 for Business Plan.
1. Airtime
Airtime is our number one platform to host your remote draft! If you want a place that will keep your league engaged and connected throughout the draft and the entire season, Airtime is the place. This if it as iMessage, Zoom, and Slack all rolled into one. You can jump from texting to live audio and video chat all from the same place, plus there are a bunch of extra features like screen share, GIFs, and built-in games that will take your group chat to the next level. We highly recommend checking it out and this is why it is number one on our list! You can click here to learn more about Fantasy Leagues on Airtime.
