Here’s my Week 4 QB streamer article. If you want a recap of the idea behind QB streamers, you can check out my first article here. Last week my streamer was Daniel Jones. At 16.54 fantasy points, he didn’t live up to my expectations but probably didn’t sink you either. Let’s see who my QB streamer is this week. As a hint, we’re staying in the NFC East.
Taylor Heinicke
Coming off of back-to-back 20+ fantasy point finishes against good defenses, I think it’s likely Taylor Heinicke can continue that streak against the Falcons who have been the number one team in points given up to the quarterbacks. I don’t see this as an anomaly as the Atlanta defense gave up the most passing yards in 2020 as well.
This is easily the riskiest call I’ve made so far since I’m recommending a backup quarterback but he’s a decent QB who’s got some solid receiving options and playmakers in Terry McLaurin, Logan Thomas, J.D. McKissic, and Antonio Gibson. He’ll probably rush a few times too, which can help his floor.
Also, the Washington Football Team defense hasn’t lived up to their hype coming off of a dominant 2020 season. That combined with a Falcons offense that should be a lot better than they’ve looked so far, it’s possible the game could turn out to be a high scoring one.
Wrap-Up
Maybe you drafted a QB later and are worried about your QB’s Week 4 matchup. In that case, Taylor Heinicke could be a player to look at for a Week 4 QB streamer option. If you drafted a good starting QB, I probably wouldn’t bench him for Taylor, but the Washington QB has the potential to be a solid fill-in.
