Here’s my Week 6 QB streamer article. If you want a recap of the idea behind QB streamers, you can check out my first article here. Last week, my Week 5 QB streamer was Trey Lance who put up a disappointing 15.58, which wasn’t amazing but he still outperformed a big name in Kyler Murray. Let’s see who my QB streamer is this week.
Taylor Heinicke
Yes, we’re going back to our Week 4 QB streamer in Taylor Heinicke who is coming off of a down week against the up-and-down New Orleans Saints. However, he has been really solid for fantasy purposes every other week so far and I don’t expect that to change this week.
This 2021 season, Taylor’s been a pretty good fantasy QB and players like Terry McLaurin, J.D. McKissic, and Antonio Gibson definitely help. He’s been running regularly too, which helps his floor. He has rushed for at least 40 yards the past two games.
Combining the decline in the Washington Football Team defense with the terrible Chiefs defense and the amazing Chiefs offense, and we should have a very high scoring game. I’m expecting him to need to throw a lot to catch up with Mahomes’ output. I’m also expecting those throws to be relatively easy with how poor the Chiefs have been at stopping any offence.
Wrap-Up
Maybe you drafted a QB later and are worried about your QB’s Week 6 matchup. In that case, Taylor Heinicke could be a player to look at for a Week 6 QB streamer option. If you drafted a good starting QB, I probably wouldn’t bench him for Taylor, but the Washington QB has the potential to be a solid fill-in.
