Semtexmex’s DraftKings DFS Picks of Week 4

Semtexmex is back to give you some DFS plays of the week for DraftKings and to win you some money. In Week 3, I went 3-5, with hitting on Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, and Cordarrelle Patterson .  This week I’m going to do better and give you 10 picks to help you set your dfs lineup. One’s a high-dollar play and the other is a sleeper play. Let’s get some money this week.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson ~ $6,700

Let’s ride! Has been the catchphrase for Russell Wilson this year but the only thing fantasy managers have been hitching a ride to is the pony show that’s been Wilson’s first three games. Wilson is yet to crack the top 12 this year, which is reflected in his cost on DraftKings. The winless Raiders could be the remedy to Russ’ woes, as they give up the fourth most points to fantasy quarterbacks (22.6). If there’s any time to ride with Russ it’s this game and this price.

Geno Smith ~ $5,400

Geno Smith has been great for the Seahawks in 2022, he doesn’t give up the ball at a crazy rate and can effectively use all of his weapons. Smith is completing an outrageous 77% of his passes and is coming off a 325-yard passing day and a QB7 performance. This week he plays the second highest scoring offense and the 31st defense against fantasy quarterbacks.  If you are looking for a cheap QB, look no further than Geno.

Running Back

Saquon Barkley ~ $8,000

Saquon Barkley has been a force through three weeks in 2022. Now he gets the Bear’s hapless run defense which has allowed the ninth most points to fantasy running backs. With rookie Dameon Pierce finishing RB8 last week, having his breakout game. Currently, Saquon is RB2 on the year and should be able to become RB1 with this matchup.

Khalil Herbert ~ $5,700

Jack Dempsey – Associated Press

Sticking with the same matchup, my discount running back is Khalil Herbert. In every matchup this year that he’s either filled in or been the change of pace back, he’s never averaged less than 5 ypc. The Giants made Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott look like stars last Monday, so I’m playing last week’s RB1 with no hesitation in this game.

Wide Receivers

DK Metcalf ~ $6,800

DK Metcalf cashed in on his 25% target share last week, bringing in five of twelve targets for 64 yards and a touchdown. The Lions have allowed the eighth most points to fantasy wide receivers (27.3), setting up a juicy matchup for the Seattle wideouts. Against the Falcons, Metcalf was targeted five times in the red zone, so I expect this to be a matchup Geno Smith goes too often this week.

Romeo Doubs ~ $4,500

Romeo Doubs is the cheapest high upside play of the week at wide receiver. Doubs is coming off his first start, in which he played 88% of the team’s snaps. Pulling in all eight of his targets for 73 yards and a TD. The Packers are looking for guys to separate themselves in this offense, and Doubs should at least get a second chance to repeat his performance this week, making him a deal at $4,500.

Tight Ends

Darren Waller ~ $5,600

Darren Waller should’ve had two touchdowns last week. This is a get-right game for the Raiders and Waller, the team is still without Hunter Renfrow, and Davante Adams has been underperforming. Setting the stage for a big Darren Waller game. At $5,600, he doesn’t break your bank either.

TJ Hockenson ~ $4,100

JUNFU HAN – USA TODAY NETWORK

TJ Hockenson will benefit from 56% of the team’s targets being up for grabs, with Amon Ra St. Brown, D’Andre Swift, and DJ Chark being out for Week 4. The Hawks are allowing eight fantasy points a game to the tight end position. That’s the tenth most. Look for the Lions to make magic happen with the offense they have left against a bad Seahawk defense.

Defense

New York Giants ~ $3,100

The Giants are blitzing the quarterback on 44% of dropbacks, and this week they are playing Justin Fields, who has been less than impressive. The Bears have given up the sixth most sacks (10), and Fields has thrown four interceptions, including two last week to the Texans. Fields is also tied for the 11th fewest yards per attempt (6.6). At $3,100, the Giants are the best bang for your buck.
