2022 Fantasy QB Rankings

These are my 2022 Fantasy QB Rankings. I Rank each player by predicting where I think they will finish the season.  I will be referencing my rankings from last year.

1. Tom Brady

First, is the Goat. I don’t see any reason not to choose Brady as your fantasy quarterback. He is now entering his third season with the Bucs. He has had two MVP caliber seasons for the Bucs already. I expect Brady to be Tom Brady.

2. Josh Allen

Last season Josh Allen was my number one quarterback and that is exactly where he finished. If every team in the NFL was to clear their rosters and start over with a draft, I think Josh Allen would be the first picked QB nine times out of 10. He is everything you look for in one.

3. Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert has been one of the most exciting players to watch over the past two years. He throws the ball fast and far. I believe we are in for a good amout of Herbert to Mike Williams bombs. He also has Keenan Allen to continue to dominate all over the field. He also has been a consistant runner.

4. Derek Carr

Derek Carr is someone I know will be higher on my list compared to what other experts will think. I think the addition of Davante Adams will be obviously worth it about three weeks into the season. I think he will be the same old Davante. Another reason I am high on Carr is, of course, Darren Waller. The duo of Adams and Waller is no joke. Carr won’t have much to worry about if he can just get them the ball in space. One last addition worth noting is head coach Josh McDaniels.

5. Joe Burrow

Last year I had Joe Burrow ranked at 12 but I made sure to mention that he had the potential of sneaking into the top five. That is exactly what happened as the season progressed. This year I don’t see it being much of a secret. Joe Burrow is a top-five quarterback in the league.

6. Jalen Hurts

Hurts asserted himself as a fantasy star last season. He was one of the most reliable quarterbacks all season. You could count on him every week. He is in a position to make a run at being a top-five quarterback with the addition of AJ Brown. Brown is one of the league’s best receivers. They also had a great draft on the defensive side. The Eagles will be an interesting team to watch over the summer.

7. Pat Mahomes

Mahomes is coming off a down year as he finished at five, as I predicted in my rankings last year. I believe the slope is going to continue going down this year with the loss of Tyreek Hill. I don’t think it will be an obvious decline. He should actually play better this year but with fewer touchdowns and yards.

8. Lamar Jackson

The Ravens are in a good spot this year to win a lot of games. They should look better than last year with JK Dobbins back. I think he will give Lamar a break from running and allow him to focus on throwing.

9. Kyler Murray

I’ve had Kyler on my MVP watch for a few years but I’m no longer as interested in it. Especially with the news of  DHOP being sidelined for six weeks. Kyler will have to make a lot happen on his own if the Cardinals are going to make a playoff run. Although, that could mean we get to see him scramble more often which is good news for everyone.

10. Mac Jones

In terms of Improvement, I believe Mac Jones will be one of the most improved players in the NFL. Jones had a phenomenal rookie season along with a progressive off-season. With the first year under his belt and both the growth of himself and his teammates, Jones will be the 10th-ranked quarterback. I think he will make a substantial jump in his sophomore season.

11. Matt Stafford

Last year the Rams and Matt Stafford were completely under my radar. I didn’t think the Rams would be able to beat the Bucs and play for a Super Bowl and I didn’t think Cooper Kupp would be so dominant. This year I am okay with having Stafford as the 11th-ranked quarterback. I do think they will be feeding Cam Akers which may take away from Stafford’s yardage.

12. Dak Prescott

As of now, Dak is ranked as the seventh QB in ESPN Fantasy. He is a great QB but I don’t see him being that high. I think that the loss of Amari will be felt and that both Zeke and Tony Pollard will be seeing plenty of carries. I don’t see him getting back to the pace he was on two seasons ago throwing the ball.
