Last week was the greatest playoff weekend of football ever. Okay, scratch that, second best. My personal favorite was the 2019 AFC/NFC Championship Games but that’s also a biased pick. I remember that overtime drive by Brady and the Pats like it was yesterday. I also remember a lot of Chiefs fans get salty and say both teams should have had the ball. Funny how things work out right? Modern Family star, Eric Stonestreet, had some strong words a couple of years back on the Rich Eisen Show. I wonder if he still feels the same. Also, I’m just gonna say it. The Secret Life of Pets franchise is about as relevant as Aaron Rodgers at home in the playoffs.

At least Josh Allen was a good sport about it all. Overall, that game capped off an incredible weekend. Every game was better than the last, and I genuinely believe that this Sunday could be just as chaotic.

Championship Sunday, Will the Chaos Ensue?
Our Matchups for Championship Sunday are decided. We have the Bengals vs Chiefs and the 49ers vs Rams. Both those games are going to be incredible to watch. I can’t wait to just sit on my couch and yell at the TV claiming how I could have caught that ball.
If you haven’t noticed from my takes throughout the playoffs thus far (Wild Card and Divisional weekend Picks) I love Joe Burrow. Before the playoffs started, I placed two bets. First bet, for the Bengals to win the AFC at +650 and my second bet, for the Bengals to win the Super Bowl +1500. I still don’t think it will hit, but a guy can believe. Not for nothing, but Joe Burrow has the whole Cincinnati Bengals community believing. They have the, “why not us” mentality and they are not going to bow down to anyone.
I am going to get into the games now using odds from Bovada.com as I have for my blog picks in the past. I am going to do a video and go over all the trends, statistics, and gut feelings I have for the games this Championship Sunday. First I want to take a moment to appreciate the greatness of the most influential athlete (in my lifetime at least), ever.
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady: The GOAT
If last Sunday was the final time we will see Tom Brady play I just want to say thank you. There are rumors swirling that this will be his last season and the quotes he said about his family may have solidified it. The happiness you have brought me my whole life as a New Englander is insurmountable. From the 14 point underdog in Super Bowl XXXVI, to the 28-3 comeback in Super Bowl LI, thank you. The passion and intensity you brought on the field every Sunday were unparallel and no one will ever be able to match it. Brady reached the highest pinnacle in sports after his 5th Super Bowl and instead of hanging it up, he kept finding a reason to keep playing. He is in the nightmares of NFL fans all across the country but now his time may have finally come.
After Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round in 2000 he told Robert Kraft that he was, “The best decision this organization has ever made.” Well, Tom, I am going to go on a limb here and say you were right. Brady has seven Super Bowls, three MVPs, and ten total Super Bowl appearances. Tom, no one will ever reach your greatness, no matter how many side-arm/no look throws they can make (talking to you Mahomes stans). Thank you for all the memories and if this is your swan song, enjoy your retirement. THE KING OF THE NORTH!
