With the NBA regular season coming to an end, I thought this would be a good opportunity to acknowledge those who hit their overs throughout the season. Here is my All NBA Betting Team 2021-22.
PG. Dejounte Murray
Season Averages:
PTS: 21.2
RBS: 8.4
AST: 9.3
This was a tough choice, as many point guards were worthy of this title. Nonetheless, Murray had quite an impressive season and helped many bettors throughout. Standing out for Dejounte Murray was his assists and points skyrocketing from last season.
This list will include many MIP players, but they go hand in hand with betting. Dejounte Murray has put the San Antonio Spurs on his back all season, even beating out the Lakers for the last playoff spot.
Dejounte Murray especially took off when Derrick White got traded to the Celtics. This allowed Murray to be more ball-dominant.
Furthermore, the best bet for Dejounte Murray felt like his PRA number. His PRA line was around 41.5 to end the year.
SG. Jordan Poole
Season Averages:
PTS: 18.4
RBS: 3.4
AST: 4.0
Jordan Poole made huge strides this season. Also, what made Poole a great bet was the Warriors’ constant injuries.
Though Poole would still score with Steph and Klay in the lineup, he would have opportunities to dominate when one was inactive. Poole has started 50 games this year and averaged 20.8 in those games.
Especially on his latest run with Steph being out, he had a fantastic scoring streak.
From 3/16- 4/2, Poole had nine straight games of scoring at least 24 PTS.
SF. DeMar DeRozan
Season Averages:
PTS: 27.8
RBS: 5.2
AST: 4.9
DeMar DeRozan undoubtedly shocked many people this season. Going from “The Worst Off-Season Signing” to the best.
At 32 years old, DeRozan had his best scoring season. Also, DeRozan was second in fourth-quarter scoring helped many bettors feel safe taking his number, especially during his fantastic run around the All-Star Break.
DeRozan had eight straight games scoring at least 35 points. Anyone witnessing these Bulls games could tell he wasn’t going to stop and should be taking his over in a hurry.
During this streak, his PTS line was around 32.5. Not surprisingly, he hit his over for these eight games.
All NBA Betting Team 2021-22- PF. LeBron James
Season Averages:
PTS: 30.3
RBS: 8.2
AST: 6.2
What a crazy year for the 19th year pro. Betting on LeBron is about the only bet to trust with the Lakers.
I trusted his points line more than PRAs, as that would require his teammates to make shots.
Nonetheless, the Washed King has dominated yet another year, but this year was a little different.
LeBron averaged his most points this season since his 3rd year in the league, averaging 31.4 PTS. He deserves his crown this season for bettors, as he has given fans and bettors another season of excellence.
C. Nikola Jokic
Season Averages:
PTS: 27.1
RBS: 13.8
AST: 7.9
Jokic being top ten in the NBA for all three statistics automatically puts him on this list. Jokic has had an unbelievable season, as he will most likely win MVP yet again.
Betting on Jokic’s PRA line was asking a lot, but oftentimes he didn’t let you down. With the line being around 48.5, it felt like you were asking the Joker to get a 30 PT triple-double.
While this may be true, it’s insane how easy he makes it look.
I remember betting on him in one game against the Hornets on March 28th, and he went from having four first-half points to finishing the game with 56 PRAs.
Though this is just one example, he has constantly shown these past two seasons to not bet against him statistically.
