Well, things still haven’t changed since my last article. The Covid-19 virus is continuing to grow and take down sports seasons day after day. I just hope that this virus can be figured out and doesn’t interfere with the NFL season. I hope that if you are reading this that you remain in good health and continue to live as stress-free as possible through these tough times. One thing that is still going strong for me is that I have had more time to dive into my dynasty WR rankings.
Here, I present to you my 20-11 Dynasty WR Rankings. It is awesome to see how the names have changed from just under a year ago. People would have never expected to see Moore, Metcalf, Brown, and Sutton in the Top 20. This is why I do have Jeudy and Lamb in my Top 20. These 2 WR’s have a great opportunity to become fantasy stars in their rookie year. I hope that you enjoy these rankings and you can expect my Top 10 Dynasty WR Rankings that will drop on 3/1.
Catch up with the WRs I am ranking in March: 80-71; 70-61; 60-51;5 0-41; 40-31; 30-21
20. Jerry Jeudy
Jeudy’s play was still impressive in 2019 despite having a less productive year statistically than 2018. Jeudy is most people’s WR 1 in this rookie class, and I think he is very talented and deserves that respect. Jerry Jeudy is the best route runner in college football and uses techniques that have never been seen before to get open. Jeudy also has a deep game and can fly down the sidelines to secure a long catch. My concern for Jeudy is that he has long legs and the way he likes to juke around concerns me.
He has a similar running pattern to Robert Griffin III and it didn’t take long for RG3 to go down with a career-dampening knee injury. I am not wishing injury upon Jeudy but it is a major concern for me. I hope the best for Jeudy and I can’t blame people for wanting this guy in dynasty leagues. If his value right, I would want him as well, but his running form and knee movement make me concerned for a major knee injury somewhere down the line.
19. CeeDee Lamb
Lamb is my favorite rookie WR. He has been a playmaker the last 3 years at Oklahoma. Lamb has been fortunate enough to play with Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts. CeeDee has always been on stride regardless of who his QB was. Lamb took his game to a whole different level in 2019. He can dominate at all 3 levels of the field. The 49ers traded DeForest Buckner to the Colts for the 13th overall pick in the draft and I have no reason not to believe that the 9ners won’t be targeting a WR.
I think Jeudy will land on either the Jets or the Raiders and Lamb will fall to 49ers. Alongside Deebo Samuel, Lamb would be a fantasy-relevant WR right away. Lamb can make plays that most cant and I think he is the most pro-ready WR in this rookie class. I would be ecstatic to own Lamb in dynasty leagues. Lamb will be a top 5 pick in rookie drafts.
18. Cooper Kupp
Kupp will be entering his 4th season in the league in 2020. Yes, people may believe that I have Kupp too high on this list but he can be an absolute stud in the slot and rack up 100 catches a season. Kupp had 94 catches for over 1,150 yards in 2019 and the Rams offense struggled for most of the season. I can only imagine that Sean McVay is working hard this offseason to get his offense back on track. Jared Goff will continue to take strides in his game. The most important aspect of the Rams offense is the ability to execute play-action.
The Rams will trust Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown to pound the rock in 2020. Kupp will continue to be a target monster and I can see him finally breaking over 100 catches in 2020. He currently goes around the 4th to 5th round in dynasty startups and I think Kupp can be acquired at a lower price now than during the season. People will have a recency bias and this will allow Kupp to be acquired for a lower cost. McVay will get the offense back on track in 2020 and Kupp will be a big part in doing that.
17. D.K. Metcalf
D.K. Metcalf is one of the most physical WR in this league. He is built like a brick house and has elite speed. Coming out of Ole Miss, scouts were concerned about his durability and if he could stay healthy. Metcalf proved Year 1 that his durability shouldn’t be a concern as he played in every game his rookie year. I love Metcalf and how special he could be. He showed up in big times of the year, especially in Round 1 of the NFL playoffs when he went off for 160 yards. Metcalf will continue to get better in his route running as that was a limiting factor in his rookie year.
I do believe that despite the Seahawks being such a run-heavy team, they will have to pass more in 2020. They don’t have the “Legion of Boom” anymore and will have to score points to keep up in games. Russell Wilson is one of the most talented QBs in this league and Metcalf will continue to be a great red-zone target for him. I would love to see Metcalf can become more consistent week to week in 2020, and if so, I would love to have him on my dynasty teams.
16. Courtland Sutton
Courtland Sutton took a big step in Year 2 under new head coach Vic Fangio. Sutton found a connection immediately with rookie QB Drew Lock. I do believe that the Broncos have found their future QB in Lock. Drew has the swagger and will be able to lead this offense the way it is attended to be. Sutton is a big receiver that is a good route-runner but also can go up and grab balls in the endzone. The Broncos will look to add a WR across from Sutton, and as I said in my previous article, I think Henry Ruggs III would be a great addition. Sutton will be only 25 in 2020, and I don’t think we have seen his best yet.
I would like to see Sutton get closer to 90 catches and bring in closer to 10 TD. I don’t think he is far away from numbers like that as he continues to grow his chemistry with Lock. Melvin Gordon will make defenses pay more attention to the running game and this will also help Sutton. Sutton is gaining traction in dynasty leagues and he could go as early as the 2nd round in startups. I wouldn’t consider Sutton a WR1 on a dynasty team but I would consider him a pretty damn good WR2.
15. A.J. Brown
A.J. Brown played a huge role in the Titans’ success in 2019. After Ryan Tannehill was named the starter, Brown started to take off. Brown struggled to get many targets from Mariota, but when he did, he was doing big things. That is the only downside to Brown’s game in 2019, he just didn’t get targeted enough. The Titans will move forward with Tannehill as their starter and his relationship with Brown will continue to grow in 2020. I didn’t think Brown would produce numbers in an offense like the Titans, but he is their outright WR1 and this kid has game.
He destroyed the Raiders last season as he went for over 150 yards and 2 scores. Brown will continue to be a big dominant WR in 2019, and his name is rising in dynasty leagues. I would much rather prefer Brown in standard leagues as I can’t see him getting close to 100 catches a season. I do see him being able to bring in double-digit TD as there isn’t a big threat to Brown that can steal those looks in the red zone.
14. JuJu Smith-Schuster
JuJu had a very disappointing 2019 season. I would consider him the biggest bust of the 2019 season. I hope that dynasty owners were able to take advantage of his poor season and trade for him. JuJu is still very talented but 2019 was very bad for him as he struggled with injuries and inconsistent QB play. JJSS had only 48 catches in 2019 and only appeared in 12 games. Big Ben will be back under center to start 2020 and this will help JuJu find his groove again.
I do believe the Steelers should look to find their QB for the future in this draft class. If they were to add Jordan Love, I think he and JuJu would find a connection right away. JuJu will bounce back in 2020. I don’t have any doubts that JuJu will return to form in 2020 and if you were able to buy him cheaply as he disappointed in 2019, you are very lucky. JuJu will still hold risk until the Steelers find a new solution at QB but I believe that problem will be addressed sooner than later.
13. Keenan Allen
Keenan Allen is like fine wine– it gets better with age. Allen had one of the best seasons of his career despite the Chargers being a major disappointment in 2019. Keenan Allen has always been a great WR to own in PPR leagues, and in 2019 he had 104 catches to support that claim. Allen’s consistency is something I admire in fantasy. Allen will give owners about 8 catches every week and about 70-80 yards and will add a TD about every other game. Allen has recorded 6 TD per season in the last 3 seasons.
Owners would be ecstatic if Allen could push closer to 10 TD in 2020, however, the Chargers’ current QB is Tyrod Taylor. I do believe the Chargers will look to draft Justin Herbert. If this is the case, I think Allen will be Herbert’s comfort blanket in 2020, and there is another great chance for over 100 catches for Keenan. Some people won’t consider Allen a target because of his age, but he is still very fantasy relevant player in any scoring format. Keenan Allen is one of my favorite WR in dynasty because he helps my team win now.
12. D.J. Moore
D.J. Moore was a stud in 2019. I was surprised to see Moore take the next step after Cam Newton went down with an injury early in the season. Moore was very impressive despite getting the ball thrown to him from a carousel of bad QB play — Kyle Allen and Will Grier. I think the Panthers offense will see a big increase in 2020 under new head coach Matt Rhule and new OC Joe Brady. Joe Brady was a great offensive mind at LSU and with new QB Teddy Bridgewater, the Panthers will score points in 2020.
D.J. Moore posseses a great route tree and will use it appropriately to help Teddy get him the ball. Moore will look to secure more catches in 2020 and creep up in the 90 total receptions. The NFC South divisional games will be shootouts in 2020 and this will only help Moore. Moore is rising in dynasty startups and I wouldn’t mind him as my WR2 but I wouldn’t consider him a strong WR 1 until I see how well he can be with Teddy.
11. Allen Robinson
Does anyone feel bad for Allen Robinson? I sure am. Yes, Robinson is the decider of what team he wants to play for but imagine playing with Blake Bortles and Mitch Trubisky your whole career. Allen Robinson was the only positive part of the Bears offense in 2019. Robinson grabbed 98 catches for over 1,100 last season. A stat that stood out to me is that out of Robinson’s 98 catches, 63 of them were for 1st down. Without Robinson, the Bears offense would have gone nowhere.
The Bears now have a QB “battle” between Trubisky and Nick Foles. However, I do think Robinson will still produce fantasy points with either QB as he is such a big part of their offense having any success. I believe talent-wise that Allen Robinson is a Top 10 WR in this league, but his QB will always hold him back and that can be a concern for fantasy owners. Allen Robinson will be a 5th-6th round WR in dynasty startups which is an absolute buy for me as has the ability to finish as a Top 15 fantasy WR each year.

My first evaluation on the rookie RB was very wrong and I will acknowledge their true rankings here soon. Thanks for your consideration and patience as I work on updating these players.)
