Just like a running back hitting a crucial chip on a blitzing linebacker, we’re going to make sure nothing gets by, all so you can make the plays you need to reach fantasy football paydirt. #Commanders QB Carson Wentz is facing a recovery time of roughly 4-6 weeks and Injured Reserve is a consideration, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. He’s currently in Los Angeles meeting with a hand specialist because of his fractured ring finger.

Carson Wentz (QB11) looks to be headed to IR after suffering a hand injury… Brian Robinson led the Commanders’ backfield in snaps while playing his second career game… Robinson ran for 60 yards on 17 carries (3.5 yard average) and scored his first career touchdown, the game-winner… Antonio Gibson has averaged 3.5 yards per carry on 61 attempts this season… J.D. McKissic was catchless on three targets, one fewer than Gibson saw… Curtis Samuel had just two catches on a team-leading five targets and played his third straight game without a rushing attempt…
Justin Fields had his best rushing game of the season, with 12 carries for 88 yards. Fields is third in quarterback rushing yards for the year… Despite playing just 16 snaps and attempting fewer than half as many rushes, Khalil Herbert led David Montgomery in rush yardage, 75-67. Montgomery did add 13 yards on a line target, however… Darnell Mooney had season highs in receptions (7), targets (12), and fantasy points (13.8)… Dante Pettis had his best fantasy output (4/7/84/1, 18.4 points) since Week 13 of 2018…
Week 6 Blitz Pickup: Sunday Early Games
Jaguars 27 at Colts 34
Trevor Lawrence had the highest single-game completion percentage (20/22, 90.9 percent) of his career… Lawrence had the first two-touchdown game of his career rushing. He had two career rushing touchdowns total entering the game… Travis Etienne out-snapped James Robinson 29-27… Robinson out-touched Etienne 13-12. Each had two redzone attempts… Evan Engram is tied for the fourth-highest target share of any tight end in the league, but has not yet scored a touchdown… Jamal Agnew left the game with a knee injury…
Matt Ryan‘s 58 pass attempts were his most since Week 8 of 2013… Ryan is second in the NFL in pass attempts and passing yards, and tied for first in completions… In two games filling in for Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson has rushed 25 times for 104 yards (one touchdown) and caught all 14 of his targets for an additional 108… Michael Pittman had 13 catches for 134 yards on 16 targets, all season-highs… Parris Campbell (7/11/57/1) also had season highs in each category and scored his first touchdown on the year… Alec Pierce had his first career touchdown… Mo Alie-Cox played three fewer snaps than both Jelani Woods and Kylen Granson… Granson had four targets to Woods’s three, but Woods found the endzone on a look from inside the ten… Woods has scored on all three of his redzone targets this season…
Patriots 38 at Browns 15
In his second career start, Bailey Zappe threw for over 300 yards and two scores. Since taking over as the starter in the face of injuries to Mac Jones and Brian Hoyer, Zappe has completed 51 of 70 attempts for 596 yards, four scores, and only one interception… Jones has two touchdowns and five interceptions this season… Rhamondre Stevenson had his third career multi-touchdown game while playing over 86 percent of offensive snaps… Tyquan Thornton scored his first career touchdowns, one receiving and one rushing. He is the only Patriot wideout with multiple touchdowns on the season… Hunter Henry had his best fantasy game of the season, leading the Patriots in targets and catching his first score of the year… Kendrick Bourne left the game with a toe injury…
Jacoby Brissett had more pass attempts (45) and a lower passer rating (54.49) than in any of his previous starts for the Browns… Kareem Hunt played one fewer snap (30) than Nick Chubb (31), but had just four rushing attempts and no catches (one target)… Amari Cooper (WR11) is tied for tenth in target share among wideouts. Cooper has scored in all four games in which he’s seen double-digit targets… David Njoku is eighth in target share among tight ends…
Jets 27 at Packers 10
Zach Wilson completed 10 passes and scored just 4.5 fantasy points in the win… Breece Hall (RB6) scored for the third consecutive game and had his first career 100+ yard effort… Michael Carter‘s seven touches was his lowest usage of the season… Despite being second in snaps played among Jets’ wideouts, Elijah Moore did not see a target for the first time in his career… Garrett Wilson led the team in targets for the fifth straight week… C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin split snaps and targets at tight end…
Aaron Rodgers had only one touchdown for the first time in 5 games. He has not finished as a QB1 yet this season… After just six touches in Week 5, AJ Dillon had 10 rushes and six targets, out-touching Aaron Jones… Allen Lazard scored for the fourth time in five games played this season… Robert Tonyan set career highs with 10 catches on 12 targets… Randall Cobb left with an ankle injury and could miss several weeks as a result…
49ers 14 at Falcons 28
Jimmy Garoppolo has not thrown for 300 yards yet this season. He had five such games last season… Jeff Wilson was held under 70 yards for the first time as a starter this season… Nevertheless, San Francisco traded for Carolina running back Christian McCaffrey to lead the backfield… Brandon Aiyuk led the Niners in targets with 11 and had his first career multi-touchdown game… Deebo Samuel (WR10) has not scored less than 11.2 fantasy points in any game thus far in 2022… George Kittle saw 10 targets, his most of the season…
Marcus Mariota threw for two scores and rushed for another and finished as QB5 for the week… It was Mariota’s third rushing score of the year, second among quarterbacks… Caleb Huntley led the Falcons in rushes and yardage in spite of the fact that Tyler Allgeier played 13 more snaps… Drake London led the Falcons’ wide receivers in targets for the sixth game in a row… Kyle Pitts scored his first touchdown of the season… Pitts has 25 targets through six games. In contrast, he had 44 targets through six games played last season…
Vikings 24 at Dolphins 16
Kirk Cousins threw two touchdowns and no interceptions for the third time this season… After seeing 11 targets in the first two games, Dalvin Cook has only five targets in the past four weeks combined… Alexander Mattison played only seven snaps… Justin Jefferson (WR4) has 100+ yards in three straight games, but has not scored a receiving touchdown since catching two in Week 1… Irv Smith Jr. caught all four targets but for only seven yards. He did have a touchdown… The Vikings are on the bye in Week 7…
Teddy Bridgewater threw for 329 yards in relief of Skylar Thompson, good for third-highest in the league for Week 6… Thompson, making his first career start, left in the first half with a thumb injury… Raheem Mostert played over 61 percent of snaps and took 14 of 17 running back rush attempts… Chase Edmonds played 31 snaps but attempted only two rushes and caught two passes… Tyreek Hill had season highs in receptions (12) and targets (15)… Hill is second in targets and first in receiving yards among wide receivers in the NFL… Hill is WR3 and Jaylen Waddle is WR7 despite Tua Tagovailoa‘s absence from a concussion… Tagovailoa was cleared of concussion protocol and could start Week 7… Mike Gesicki had season-highs in receptions (six), targets (seven), and yards (69), and had the third multi-touchdown game of his career…
Bengals 30 at Saints 26
Joe Burrow (QB5) threw for 300+ yards for the second time this season… Likewise, he threw for at least three scores without an interception for the second time on the year and fourth time in his past eight regular season games… Joe Mixon caught his first receiving touchdown of 2022 and is fifth in targets among running backs this season… Mixon averaged 5.6 yards per carry for the second week in a row… Ja’Marr Chase had his best game on the season. He is fifth in the league in snap percentage among wideouts and ninth in target share… Hayden Hurst (TE11) has the lowest yards per target average (5.7) of any of the top 17 tight ends outside of Taysom Hill, who has only one target for two yards…
Alvin Kamara has over 300 total yards the past two weeks, but is yet to score on the season… Kamara has not scored in five straight games dating back to last season. He has not scored a rushing touchdown in eight straight games… Tre’Quan Smith played a 70.8 percent target share, his highest of the season, and scored his first touchdown of 2022… Marquez Callaway led the Saints’ wideouts in snaps and targets with Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry, and Chris Olave all out… Juwan Johnson led New Orleans tight ends with six targets… Adam Trautman suffered a foot injury and is out for Week 7…
Ravens 20 at Giants 24
Lamar Jackson threw for 200+ yards for the first time since Week 3… Jackson has thrown at least one touchdown in every game this season… Kenyan Drake had his first 100 yard rushing game since 2020… J.K. Dobbins left the game with knee “tightness” and may need surgery which would cost him a month or more… Demarcus Robinson led the Ravens’ wide receivers in snaps, target, receptions, and yards… Mark Andrews saw double-digit targets for the fourth time in six games and leads all tight ends in targets… Andrews is second in the league to only Cowboys’ receiver CeeDee Lamb in target share…
Daniel Jones (QB15) has thrown fewer touchdown passes than any other top-20 fantasy quarterback… Jones is tied with Josh Allen for fourth in quarterback rushing attempts… Saquon Barkley (RB2) is second among running backs in snap percentage, but only eighth in rush share… Wan’Dale Robinson played fewer snaps than any other Giants’ receiver, but led the team in targets, receptions, yards, and scoring… Robinson is seeing a target on over one-fifth of his snaps… Daniel Bellinger leads the Giants in redzone targets and is catching over 88 percent of his targets…
Buccaneers 18 at Steelers 20
Tom Brady has only thrown multiple scores in one game out of six this season. His last such streak was in 2013-14… Leonard Fournette played almost 82 percent of snaps to just over 22 percent for Rachaad White… Fournette has only one rushing touchdown this season, fewer than any other top-10 back… Chris Godwin earned over a 32 percent target share in this game and leads Tampa Bay in targets since his Week 4 return… Cameron Brate was stretchered from the field and evaluated for head/neck injuries. He is out for Week 7…
Week 6 Blitz Pickup: Sunday Late Games
Bills 24 at Chiefs 20
Josh Allen threw at least three touchdowns for the fourth time in six games… Zack Moss was a healthy scratch… Devin Singletary is 11th among running backs in target share… Stefon Diggs (WR1) leads all receivers in targets and receiving touchdowns… Dawson Knox is averaging just over three targets per game and scored his first touchdown of the season in Week 6… Buffalo is on the bye in Week 7…
Patrick Mahomes has thrown multiple touchdowns in all but one game this season… Jerick McKinnon saw just two rushing attempts despite leading the Chiefs’ running backs in snaps played… JuJu Smith-Schuster had the Chiefs’ first 100 yard receiving game by someone other than Travis Kelce this season… Marquez Valdes-Scantling was catchless on three targets one week after leading the Chiefs in receiving… Kelce was scoreless but had his second 100 yard game of the season…
Panthers 10 at Rams 24
P.J. Walker started his third career game but did not throw a touchdown… Jacob Eason played in a game for just the second time and threw his second career interception in 10 career attempts… Sam Darnold has been designated for return from IR… Leading running back Christian McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers… Chuba Hubbard and D’Onta Foreman have one target between them on the season… Foreman has played 31 snaps to 30 for Hubbard… Foreman has 12 rushes on the season to six for Hubbard… D.J. Moore was the only Panthers’ wideout to catch a pass during the game… Robbie Anderson was traded to the Cardinals after an in-game disagreement with the coaching staff led to him being dismissed from the field…
Cam Akers did not play after Coach Sean McVay made a cryptic midweek comment about “working through some stuff… Allen Robinson had season-highs in targets, receptions, and yards and scored his second touchdown on the year… Ben Skowronek has scored over 10 fantasy points in three games this season, including 16.7 in Week 6… Tyler Higbee saw only two targets, by far his lowest usage of the season… The Rams are on the bye in Week 7
Cardinals 9 at Seahawks 19
While Kyler Murray did not throw a touchdown pass, he did have his first 100 yard rushing day since Week 9 of 2020… With James Conner out, Eno Benjamin led the Cardinals’ backfield in snaps and rushing… Keaontay Ingram made his NFL debut with three carries on nine offensive snaps played… Rondale Moore saw double-digit targets for just the second time in his career… After leading the Cardinals in receiving, Marquise Brown left the game with a foot injury that could sideline him for multiple games… Despite increased snaps in the past few games, Trey McBride has only seen three targets thus far, all in the same game (Week 4)… Meanwhile, starter Zach Ertz (TE3) is second among all tight ends in targets with 55…
Geno Smith was sacked five times. Although he did not throw a touchdown, he has not thrown an interception since Week 3… Kenneth Walker III ran 21 times for 97 yards and a touchdown in his first career start… Walker led Seattle’s backfield in snaps. Correspondingly, he had the fourth-highest rush share of any running back for the week… As a result of Smith’s quiet passing day, D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett both had their lowest fantasy totals of the season… Noah Fant led the Seahawks in receiving with six catches on seven targets for 45 yards…
Week 6 Blitz Pickup: Sunday Night
Cowboys 17 at Eagles 26
Cooper Rush threw his first interception of the season. He had three total in the game… It was the first loss for Rush as a starting quarterback in the NFL… Dak Prescott has been cleared to play for Week 7… Ezekiel Elliott had his best rushing game of the season and scored his second touchdown… Meanwhile, Elliott has seen just two or fewer targets in every game this season. Elliott saw just one target in Week 6… Michael Gallup has seen his targets increase in each of the three games he’s played… CeeDee Lamb leads the NFL in target share at over 33 percent… While Lamb is only catching just over 55 percent of his targets, his career average entering 2022 was over 66 percent… Jake Ferguson had the best game of his short career and scored his first touchdown while Dalton Schultz was inactive…
Jalen Hurts has either thrown or rushed for at least one touchdown in every game this season… Hurts leads all quarterbacks in rush attempts and is presently tied for second in the NFL among all players in rushing touchdowns (six)… Miles Sanders is third in the league in rushing attempts… A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith each caught a touchdown in the same game for the second time this season… Dallas Goedert is third in the league in receiving yards for tight ends… Philadelphia is on the bye in Week 7…
Week 6 Blitz Pickup: Monday Night
Broncos 16 at Chargers 19 (OT)
Russell Wilson is completing just 58.6 percent of passes on the season. His career average is over 64 percent… Melvin Gordon played just nine snaps and had just three carries… Meanwhile, new roster addition Latavius Murray led the Broncos’ backs with 15 rushes in 27 snaps… Despite being the team’s leading receiver on the year, Courtland Sutton saw just three targets… Perhaps answering the Broncos’ questions at tight end, Greg Dulcich was a clear leader in snaps played and targets, and scored his first career touchdown… Conversely, Albert Okwuegbunam did not play at all…
Despite 57 pass attempts, Justin Herbert did not throw a touchdown… It was only the second scoreless passing game in Herbert’s career… Austin Ekeler scored for the third consecutive game and has six touchdowns in that span… Keenan Allen missed his fifth straight game and has subsequently been deemed a game-time decision for Week 7… Josh Palmer had his most effective game of the season with nine catches on 12 targets. He suffered a concussion, however, that will keep him out of Week 7… Likewise, Donald Parham, Jr. suffered a concussion that has him ruled out for Week 7 as well…
