Betting, Gambling

Best, Prop, Value Day Two

Welcome back for day two of the Best, Prop, Value where I bring you three bets everyday: my best bet of the day, my value bet of the day, and my prop pet of the day.

A quick explanation, best bet is my favorite straight play of the day, the value bet is my favorite high odds play of the day and the prop bet is my favorite prop play of the day.

The inaugural Best, Prop, Value finished as a 2-1 day. The Boston Red Sox handled business against the Chicago Cubs in a game that was never really close. Brayan Bello did his job to ensure the Sox got the win finishing with five strikeouts.

He cashed the over 4.5Ks prop in just four innings, striking out five of the first 17 batters.

The Arizona Diamondbacks were in a close game through six but let it slip away in the seventh giving up five runs to break the tie and give the Toronto Blue Jays a 7-2 lead that was too big to overcome.

Overall you take a 2-1 day, especially when the only loss was the high odd value bet. With that being said, it is now time for BVP day two. And with baseball again dominating the sports world, it’ll be another baseball heavy slate.

For the best bet, we head on over to Cincinnati.

*All odds are from Fanduel Sportsbook*

Best Bet

Cincinnati Reds -125

The Cincinnati Reds have shocked the league by getting off to a 50-42 record, and like his team, Elly De La Cruz has taken the league by storm in his rookie season.

Elly has accumulated more highlight plays than can be discussed in one single article in his short career this far. With a .315 batting average and 16 bases stolen in 31 games, he is nothing short of electric every time he steps on the field.

But his team has struggled, winning just once in the last four, and are hoping to snap a two game losing streak with a win here tonight.

With Andrew Abbott on the mound and the Reds due for a win, -125 money line is the Best Bet.

We head over to Atlanta where the best team in baseball, the Atlanta Braves take on the struggling Chicago White Sox for the prop bet.

Prop Bet

Acuna 2+ bases -110

Ronald Acuna Jr, one of the best players in baseball, finds himself in a little bit of a slump as he is just 3 for 15 in his last 15 at bats.

Whenever you can get a top player at good odds due to recent downplay in their game, it’s a good idea to take it.

On top of his hitting, Acuna’s speed and stealing ability gives us extra chances at grabbing the second base needed to win this prop.

The White Sox are just 2-8 in their last 10 and will have Lance Lynn on the mound who is 5-8 with a 6.03 ERA.

The Braves should win this one with ease giving Acuna plenty of chances to secure two bags tonight.

Value Bet

Washington Nationals +170

The St. Louis Cardinals are one of the biggest underachievers through this point of the season. While still better than the Washington Nationals, the pitching battle is intriguing here.

Steven Matz has yet to pick up a win this year at 0-7 with a 4.65 ERA.

Nationals pitcher Jake Irvin hasn’t been much better at 2-5 with a 4.60 ERA, but with +170 odds it’s worth a sprinkle.

The Nationals are fifth in batting average and seventh in hits compared to 14th and 13th for the Cards. A struggling Matz and a double header means a formula for a +170 upset.

The one negative here is this is a heavy public play and the odds movement doesn’t reflect that. Therefore I’d be less than surprised if Matz does pick up his first win tonight.

In Conclusion

That’ll do it for day two of Best, Prop, Value. Let’s have a day.
