QB Fantasy Football: DAWGS Or FRAUDS Week 5

Week 5 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst QB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.

Golden DAWG: Josh Allen 36.16 FP

424 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TDs, 1 Interception, 5 Carries, 42 Rushing Yard (Projected: 26.04 FP)

Josh Allen and Gabriel Davis were dominant against the Steelers

Josh Allen was magical against the Steelers in the Bills’ Week 5 win. He started with a 98-yard TD to Gabriel Davis and ended the first half at over 300 yards. He has performances where he looks like the best QB in football and the front-runner for the MVP and he will have a big matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.

Silver DAWG: Patrick Mahomes 30.48 FP

292 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TDs, 4 Carries, 28 Rushing Yards (Projected: 23.11 FP)

Patrick Mahomes is leading the way for the Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 30-29 comeback victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Down by 17 in the second quarter, Mahomes simply took over by throwing four TDs, all to Travis Kelce. His ability to lead under pressure makes him one of the best-performing QB in football. He will have a big matchup when he faces the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.

Bronze DAWG: Geno Smith 24.02 FP

268 Passing Yards, 3 Passing TDs, 3 Carries, 13 Rushing Yards (Projected: 17.41 FP)

Geno Smith is giving Seattle hope

Geno Smith is proving all the haters wrong with another big game against the Saints. The Seattle QB passed for 268 yards and threw three long TDs to D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. His performance has made him a sneaky QB to have in fantasy. He’ll have a date with the Arizona Cardinals next week.

Golden FRAUD: Jared Goff 6.86 FP

229 Passing Yards, 1 Interception, 3 Carries, 7 Rushing Yard, 1 Fumble Lost (Projected: 19.24 FP)

Jared Goff had no answers to the Patriots’ defense

Jared Goff had a rough day against the Patriots’ defense. He was pressured early and often and looked helpless being limited to just 229 yards and no TDs. After getting a bye in Week 6, he will face the Dallas Cowboys.

Silver FRAUD: Cooper Rush 3.98 FP

102 Passing Yards, 4 Carries, -1 Rushing Yards (Projected: 15.58 FP)

Cooper Rush is still the man at QB for Dallas

Cooper Rush did enough to lead the Cowboys to a win over the LA Rams. He didn’t have to do much as the defense and running game paved the way. Currently, he is expected to start over the undefeated Eagles in Week 6. Either the undefeated streak of the Eagles or the undefeated starts streak of Cooper Rush will end on that day. It’s very difficult to start Cooper Rush after this performance in QB.

Bronze FRAUD: Davis Mills 5.80 FP

140 Passing Yards, 2 Carries, 2 Rushing Yards (Projected: 15.21 FP)

Davis Mills just did enough to lead the Texans

Davis Mills passed for 140 yards against the Jaguars and that was enough for the win. He was helped by Dameon Pierce with his 99 rushing yards and TD. This win took them out of the winless column. The Texans will face the Raiders in Week 7.
