RB Fantasy Football: DAWGS Or FRAUDS Week 2

Week 2 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst RB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.

Golden DAWG: Nick Chubb 32.30 FP

17 Carries, 87 Rushing Yards, 3 Rushing TDs, 3 Receptions, 26 Receiving Yards (Projected: 13.60 FP)

Nick Chubb rushing his way to 3 TDs

Nick Chubb was a monster against the Jets’ defense as he rushed for 87 yards and three rushing TDs. Though his last TD may be controversial since he could have taken a knee and run the clock, it gave his fantasy owners points. As of now, he has been the highest-scoring RB in fantasy football.

Silver DAWG: Aaron Jones 32 FP

15 Carries, 132 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 3 Receptions, 38 Receiving Yards (Projected: 16.69 FP)

Aaron Jones celebrating with the Packers fans

Aaron Jones bounced back in a big way as he had 170 total yards against the Bears. The Chicago defense had no answer for Jones, and this was a much-needed win for the Packers after what happened in Week 1. He’ll have a tough matchup against Tampa Bay in Week 3.

Bronze DAWG: Darrel Williams 14.20 FP

8 Carries, 59 Rushing Yards, 1 Rushing TD, 2 Receptions, 3 Receiving Yards (Projected: 0.57 FP)

Darrel Williams celebrating a TD

Darrel Williams stepped up for the Cardinals as James Conner went down with an injury. He had eight carries for 59 yards and had a rushing TD. The change in scenery was nice for Darrel as he was only doing special team snaps in Week 1. He could be an interesting add for Week 3, depending on Connor’s status.

Golden FRAUD: Jonathan Taylor 7.30 FP

9 Carries, 54 Rushing Yards, 1 Reception, 9 Receiving Yards (Projected: 21.77 FP)

Jonathan Taylor had a rough day against the Jaguars

Jonathan Taylor had a bad Week 2 as the Colts were down early. This limited his carries as the Colts tried to pass more to try to get back into the game. Owners can still rely on JT as he looks to bounce back against the Chiefs in Week 3.

Silver FRAUD: Dalvin Cook 7.60 FP

6 Carries, 17 Rushing Yards, 4 Receptions, 19 Rushing Yards (Projected: 17.50 FP)

Dalvin Cook trying to make a move with the ball

Another victim of his team falling early, Dalvin Cook only had six carries to his name for just 17 yards. His four receptions did give him some points to salvage. As of now, he has no TDs to his name, so hopefully, he can get some in Week 3 against the Lions.

Bronze FRAUD: Rashaad Penny 1.5 FP

6 Carries, 15 Rushing Yards (Projected: 11.03 FP)

Rashaad Penny trying to escape a 49ers defender

Rashaad Penny only had six carries in the game against the 49ers. Kenneth Walker III was healthy and played, so the backfield is getting full with Travis Homer in the mix. Let’s see how the backfield is in Week 3 against the Falcons. This will give us a better picture of which RB or RBs Seattle will use the most and which RB in fantasy you may want to keep.
