RB Fantasy Football: DAWGS Or FRAUDS Week 3

Week 3 has just finished, and we will look back at the best and worst RB Fantasy Football performances of the week. Take note that we are using Sleeper’s PPR scoring system for this analysis.

Golden DAWG: Khalil Herbert 30.90 FP

20 Carries, 157 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs, 2 Receptions, 12 Receiving Yards (Projected: 7.96 FP)

Khalil Herbert giving a stiff-arm to a Texans defender

Khalil Herbert made most of his opportunity when he rushed 20 times for 157 yards and two TDs. David Montgomery got hurt during the game, and the Bears ran their offense through Herbert. Montgomery is questionable for their game in Week 4, so Herbert could be an interesting pick-up in the waiver wire if you need an RB in fantasy football.

Silver DAWG: Jamaal Williams 24.70 FP

20 Carries, 87 Rushing Yards, 2 Rushing TDs, 2 Receptions, 20 Receiving Yards (Projected: 8.80 FP)

Jamaal Williams celebrating a TD

Another RB2 who stepped up was Jamaal Williams, who rushed 20 times for 87 yards and two TDs. RB1 D’Andre Swift got hurt in the game, and Williams dominated. If Swift isn’t available for next week’s matchup, Jamaal Williams will be a hot add in fantasy football.

Bronze DAWG: Devin Singletary 24.10 FP

9 Carries, 13 Rushing Yards, 9 Receptions, 78 Receiving Yards, 1 Receiving TD (Projected: 11.13 FP)

Devin Singletary getting the ball from Josh Allen

Devin Singletary lands on this list due to his receiving game numbers against the Dolphins. He caught nine balls for 78 yards and a TD. His nine carries for 13 yards are concerning as he wasn’t efficient on the ground. Hopefully, he can go back to his more efficient rushing ways against the Ravens in Week 4.

Golden FRAUD: Alvin Kamara 7.30 FP

15 Carries, 61 Rushing Yards, 2 Receptions, 12 Receiving Yards, 1 Fumble Lost (Projected: 16.78 FP)

Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara has had a bad start to the season so far. After resting in Week 2, he didn’t look too good against the Panthers. He rushed 15 times for 61 yards and had a fumble which was recovered for a TD. Kamara hasn’t scored a TD yet this season, but he faces the Vikings next week, who are terrible against the run.

Silver FRAUD: Aaron Jones 5.70 FP

12 Carries, 36 Rushing Yards, 3 Receptions, 11 Rushing Yards, 1 Fumble Lost (Projected: 15 FP)

Aaron Jones and Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Jones struggled against the elite Tampa Bay defense. He had a combined 47 total yards and a fumble which he lost inside the five-yard line. He’ll have a tough matchup next week against the Patriots.

Bronze FRAUD: Darrell Henderson 1.70 FP

4 Carries, 17 Rushing Yards (Projected: 10.63 FP)

Darrell Henderson

It’s difficult to judge who will be the main RB for the LA Rams as Darrell Henderson and Cam Akers take turns on who will rush more. Henderson rushed four times in the game against the Falcons while Akers had the heavier workload. After having a great year last year, it’s hard to trust Henderson now as an RB this fantasy football season.
