Week 10 Fantasy Football and NFL Betting Preview: Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers

In this article, we will delve into the key fantasy players and their performance projections for the upcoming game between the Chicago Bears and the Carolina Panthers.

Game Lines and Trends:

The Bears are favored to win by a margin of 3.5 points, with an over/under of 39. The Bears have found a competitive identity even in the absence of Justin Fields. While the Panthers are 1-5 ATS as underdogs. Taking Chicago to cover at home.

Quarterbacks: Tyson Bagent and Bryce Young

Tyson Bageant (Chicago Bears): Bageant ranks as my QB26, slightly lower than the Expert Consensus Rank (ECR) of 29. He has met his passing yard prop, 184.5, in the last two games and could benefit from the fact that the Panthers have allowed the fourth-highest passing yards this season.

Bryce Young (Carolina Panthers): Young ranks as my QB23, aligning with the ECR. Just has a limited ceiling in all categories this season. With only one top-12 performance all year, while typically finishing as a low-end QB2.

Running Backs: D’Onta Foreman, Roschon Johnson, Chuba Hubbard, and Miles Sanders

D’Onta Foreman (Chicago Bears): Foreman ranks as my RB21, slightly higher than the ECR of 24. He has taken control of the Bears’ backfield, outperforming Johnson in terms of snaps. Foreman has met his rushing yards, 59.5, and carries, 14.5, props in three out of the last four games. With the Panthers allowing the fifth-most rushing yards to running backs, Foreman has the potential for a strong performance.

Chuba Hubbard (Carolina Panthers): Hubbard ranks as my RB22, aligning with the ECR at 23. He outsnapped Sanders 65% to 25% last week, but inefficiencies in his game might lead to a reduced role eventually. Hubbard has met his rushing yards,40.5, and carries,11.5, props in two of the last three games.

Roschon Johnson (Chicago Bears): Johnson ranks as my RB48, slightly lower than the ECR of 40. However, with the likely return of Khalil Herbert next week, Johnson’s role is expected to diminish, making him droppable in redraft leagues.

Miles Sanders (Carolina Panthers): Sanders ranks as my RB42, slightly lower than the ECR of 37. He showed improvement in the last game getting over 6 yards per carry in a limited role. If he can finally get healthy combined with the contract he was paid in the off-season, Sanders could reestablish himself.

Wide Receivers: Adam Thielen, D.J. Moore, Darnell Mooney, and Jonathan Mingo

Adam Thielen (Carolina Panthers): Thielen ranks as my WR15, while the ECR is higher at 6. Since the bye week, Theilen’s ADOT (average depth of target) has dropped to an abysmal 5 yards or less. Sliding his value a bit the last couple of weeks. His overall usage is still strong so it’s not time to panic yet. While he has been over his 70.5 receiving yards prop in 3 of the last 4 games, I would rather wait and see if his ADOT can correct itself before betting on him again.

DJ Moore (Chicago Bears): Moore ranks as my WR22, lower than the ECR of 14. He has seen a decrease in production since quarterback Justin Fields has been out of the lineup ranking as WR42. Additionally, the Panthers have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers. To top it off Moore has been under his 55.5 receiving yards prop in 3 of the last 4 games.

Jonathan Mingo (Carolina Panthers): Mingo ranks as my WR52, aligning with the ECR of 49. He is a speculative DFS play, as he has been involved in over 95% of the routes and with DJ Chark out.

Darnell Mooney (Chicago Bears): Mooney ranks as my WR45, slightly higher than the ECR of 51. His usage has been sporadic, making it difficult to trust him consistently. Additionally, his target share with Bageant has varied between 15%, 8%, and 24%. Should have better options available to you.

Tight Ends: Cole Kmet and Hayden Hurst

Cole Kmet (Chicago Bears): Kmet ranks as my TE13, aligning with the ECR of 11. He has emerged as the TE8 since Bageant became the starter, and has exceeded his receiving yards mark of 35.5 in the last two weeks.

Hayden Hurst (Carolina Panthers): My ranked TE29 with and ECR of TE30.
