Welcome to the Week 14 Blitz Pickup, where we review the most interesting facts, figures and notes from every NFL game each week. Most fantasy regular seasons are over and the playoffs are here. Hopefully, you survived Byemageddon, because from here out you’ll have your full complement of players each week (barring injury, of course.) Just like a running back hitting a crucial chip on a blitzing linebacker, we’re going to make sure nothing gets by, all so you can make the plays you need to reach fantasy football paydirt. It’s down, it’s dirty. It’s the Week 14 Blitz Pickup!

Week 14 Blitz Pickup: Thursday Night

Baker could’ve flashed a couple more “fingers” at his detractors after the showing he put on last Thursday.

Raiders 16 at Rams 17

Derek Carr was held without a touchdown pass for the third time this season and first since Week 8… Carr has thrown five interceptions in the past three weeks… Josh Jacobs has scored at least 19 fantasy points in five straight weeks… Jacobs injured a finger during the game but has been cleared to continue playing… Davante Adams, who leads the league in targets, had just three catches in the game, all in the first half. Adams was only targeted three times in the second half… Foster Moreau was targeted just once in the game and was held without a catch…

John Wolford technically made the start for the Rams, but played just three snaps… Baker Mayfield had his second-best fantasy score of the season after arriving in Los Angeles just two days prior to the game. Mayfield was released by Carolina following Week 13… Cam Akers out-snapped Kyren Williams and Malcolm Brown 27-19-18, respectively. Akers saw 13 opportunities to just five for Williams and three for Brown…Akers had two carries and a target in the redzone. Brown had one redzone target… Ben Skowronek had career highs in targets, receptions, and yardage… Tutu Atwell led the team in targets with nine, one more than Skowronek… Tyler Higbee is fifth in tight end targets for the season, but is the only one of the top-25 targeted tight ends yet to score a touchdown this season…

Week 14 Blitz Pickup: Sunday Early Games

The Lions ran over the Vikings and served notice to the league. Of course, fantasy managers have known all along.

Vikings 23 at Lions 34

Kirk Cousins had his seventh career 400 yard passing game. It was the fourth-highest total for any quarterback this season… Cousins is fourth in passing attempts this season… Dalvin Cook was held to a season-low 1.5 yards per rush attempt… Cook (RB12) is sixth in the league in both rush attempts and rush yards… Justin Jefferson set a Vikings’ franchise record with 223 receiving yards… Jefferson now owns three of the top five receiving yardage game totals this season. Tyreek Hill has the other two… T.J. Hockenson had 77 yards receiving, his most since joining the Vikings at the trade deadline… Hockenson is fourth in the league in tight end target share… Minnesota plays the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday in Week 15…

Jared Goff has thrown for multiple touchdowns without an interception in three straight weeks… Goff threw for over 300 yards for the second consecutive game… Jamaal Williams was held scoreless for the first time since Week 9, but did lead the backfield in snaps and carries… D’Andre Swift had just 10 opportunities on the day, half of what he had in Week 13… Amon-Ra St. Brown led the team in targets, but D.J. Chark had his best fantasy score since 2020 and led the team in receiving yards… Jameson Williams caught his first NFL touchdown… Brock Wright led the tight ends in snaps, but Shane Zylstra led the team’s tight ends with two catches on just two targets…

Jaguars 36 at Titans 22

Trevor Lawrence had 300 yards and three touchdowns passing without an interception for the second time in three games… Lawrence also ran for his fourth touchdown of the year… Since back-to-back 25+ point games, Travis Etienne has scored just 21.4 points total over four games… No Jaguar running back was targeted in the game… Christian Kirk is still WR10 overall, but Zay Jones is WR14 over his past three games played… Evan Engram had a career-best 162 yards on 11 receptions for 39.2 fantasy points. His previous career fantasy high was 28.6 points in Week 1 of 2019…

Derrick Henry had not lost a fumble since 2020, but lost two against the Jaguars… Henry leads the league in carries… Henry had his highest yardage total since Week 8… Dontrell Hilliard was carted off with a neck injury and will miss at least Week 15. Julius Chestnut operated as Henry’s backup in Hilliard’s absence with Hassan Haskins sidelined with a hip injury… Treylon Burks missed the game in concussion protocol… Nick Westbrook-Ikhine led the team in targets and scored his third touchdown of the year… Chigoziem Okonkwo had the best fantasy game of his career, catching all six of his targets for 45 yards and a score… Two of Okonkwo’s six targets were redzone looks…

Browns 10 at Bengals 23

Watson has run the ball 13 times in two games. He would rank seventh in the league for quarterback rush attempts at that pace had he played all season. His rush yardage pace would rank eighth… Nick Chubb is tied for third in redzone carries this season, but does not have a redzone target. Kareem Hunt is tied for sixth in redzone targets among running backs… Donovan Peoples-Jones led the Browns in all receiving categories. His 12 targets were a career high… David Njoku has scored in both games with Watson as the starting quarterback and has caught 12 of 16 targets. Amari Cooper has caught just six of 16 targets in the same two games… Cleveland plays Baltimore on Saturday in Week 15…

Joe Burrow (QB4) is on pace for career highs in pass attempts, completions, and touchdown passes… Burrow has already set career rushing highs across the board… Joe Mixon had 96 yards in his return to the lineup from injury, but his 6.9 yards per carry mark was a season-best… Samaje Perine saw most of the redzone opportunities, however… Ja’Marr Chase tied a season-high with 10 receptions and has 17 in two games since returning from injury… Tee Higgins played just one snap. Higgins injured his hamstring in pregame warmups and is questionable for Week 15… Tyler Boyd suffered a dislocated finger and could miss a game or two…

Jets 12 at Bills 20

Mike White briefly missed two stints in the game after hard hits. White is questionable for Week 15 with a rib injury… Joe Flacco served as the backup while White was out… Michael Carter returned from injury and out-snapped Zonovan Knight 37-35. Knight saw 19 opportunities to just 11 for Carter, however… Elijah Moore had a season-high six catches on 10 targets to lead New York… Garrett Wilson led the Jets with 78 receiving yards… Corey Davis is in concussion protocol… Tyler Conklin has three catches and three touchdowns on four redzone targets this season. Conklin has seen just one redzone target since Week 8 and did not catch it…

Josh Allen is on pace for career-highs in rush attempts and yards… Allen has just one interception in the past four games… Devin Singletary out-snapped James Cook 29-24, but had 10 opportunities to just eight for Cook… Cook has not scored since Week 5 and has just one game with over 10 fantasy points this season… Stefon Diggs was held under 10 fantasy points for the first time this season… After he failed to record a catch in Week 13, Dawson Knox scored a touchdown for the first time since Week 8 and posted his best fantasy score on the year… Buffalo plays Miami on Saturday in Week 15…

Texans 23 at Cowboys 27

Jeff Driskel and Davis Mills split snaps evenly in Week 14. Each of them played 33 snaps… They are expected to continue the timeshare, with Mills passing more… Dameon Pierce injured his ankle and should miss several games… The team cut running back Eno Benjamin following the game, however… Chris Moore had a career day with 10 catches on 11 targets and 124 yards… Amari Rodgers scored his first career touchdown… Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins are both questionable for Week 15… The Texans used four tight ends in the game, but only Jordan Akins saw targets…

Dak Prescott had a season-high 284 passing yards… Despite the fact that Tony Pollard out-snapped Ezekiel Elliott 41-35, Elliott had 20 opportunities to 15 for Pollard… Each running back had multiple redzone looks… Pollard scored multiple touchdowns during four of the last six games he’s played… CeeDee Lamb caught five of six targets. Lamb has a 29.1 percent target share on the year… Dalton Schultz caught six balls on 10 targets for his most productive game of the season…

Eagles 48 at Giants 22

Jalen Hurts accounted for multiple touchdowns in all but two games this season… Hurts leads all quarterbacks with 10 rushing touchdowns… Hurts tied his career-high in rushing scores set last season… Miles Sanders is the least-targeted of any running back in the top 10 of fantasy scorers… Sanders again scored two touchdowns on the ground. That is his third such game this season… DeVonta Smith tied his touchdown total from last season… A.J. Brown is on pace for career highs in every receiving category… Grant Calcaterra saw four targets, the highest total for any Eagle tight end since Dallas Goedert‘s injury…

Philadelphia sacked Daniel Jones four times… Jones rushed for his fifth touchdown, however… Saquon Barkley failed to gain 100 total yards for the fourth consecutive contest… Gary Brightwell carried the ball five times for the second time in three games… Richie James has three touchdowns in his last four games… Meanwhile, Isaiah Hodgins scored for the second straight game… Daniel Bellinger caught all of his targets again. Bellinger suffered a rib injury, however, and left the game early… Bellinger is questionable for Week 15…

Ravens 16 at Steelers 14

Tyler Huntley left the game early and remains in concussion protocol. He is questionable for Week 15… Anthony Brown completed three of five passes in his professional debut in relief of Huntley… Brown would start Week 15 if Huntley cannot go, as Lamar Jackson remains unavailable with a knee injury… J.K. Dobbins stormed back into the lineup with 120 yards rushing and a score… Dobbins led the Ravens’ backfield in snaps and carries… Demarcus Robinson led the Ravens in receiving, mostly because DeSean Jackson had the only two catches by another wideout… Mark Andrews failed to score a touchdown for the sixth straight week… Baltimore plays Cleveland on Saturday in Week 15…

Kenny Pickett left the game early under concussion protocol and is questionable for Week 15… Mitch Trubisky tied his career high with three interceptions… Najee Harris scored his fourth touchdown in as many games to salvage his fantasy day… Harris ranks ninth in rush share this season, but ranks ahead of only Leonard Fournette and Antonio Gibson in yards per carry among the top 30 fantasy scoring running backs… Another week, another Diontae Johnson game without a touchdown. Johnson led the Steelers in every other receiving category… Pat Freiermuth finally scored his second touchdown of the season. Despite the lack of scoring, Freiermuth is TE5 on the season…

Week 14 Blitz Pickup: Sunday Late Games

Buccaneers 7 at 49ers 35

Tom Brady‘s 6.2 yards per attempt is the lowest mark of his career… Rachaad White out-snapped Leonard Fournette 40-36 and saw 18 opportunities to Fournette’s 11… White only outscored Fournette 10.7-10.6, however, due to a lost fumble… Chris Godwin continued to lead the Buccaneers’ wideouts in targets… Cade Otton has taken over as the lead tight end in snaps and opportunities, but Cameron Brate still saw four targets in the game…

Brock Purdy became the first rookie to beat Tom Brady in his first start… Purdy threw two scores for the second game in a row and also rushed for his first career score… Purdy is questionable for Week 15 with an oblique injury he suffered in the game… Christian McCaffrey (RB3) trails only Austin Ekeler in every receiving category among running backs… Deebo Samuel scored his third rushing touchdown on the year, but suffered a high ankle sprain that will keep him out for at least the bulk of the regular season… Brandon Aiyuk tied his career high in touchdowns for a season with his seventh score… Among the top-20 fantasy tight ends, George Kittle trails only Dallas Goedert and Travis Kelce in yards per reception…

Chiefs 34 at Broncos 28

Patrick Mahomes threw at least three touchdowns for the seventh time this season. He also tied a career high with three interceptions, however… Mahomes leads the league in touchdown passes and total touchdowns… Isiah Pacheco led the Chiefs’ running backs with 13 carries for 70 yards. He also had the best receiving day of his career, with three receptions for another 23 yards… Jerick McKinnon saw nine targets and caught seven for 112 yards and two scores. The 32.4 fantasy points bested his previous career high of 26.6 from 2017… JuJu Smith-Schuster led the Chiefs’ wide receivers with nine receptions and 11 targets… Travis Kelce passed 1,000 yards receiving for a tight end-record seventh straight season…

Russell Wilson left the game under concussion protocol and is questionable for Week 15… Wilson was in the midst of his best game as a Bronco. Wilson threw three touchdowns and rushed for a season-high 57 yards… Mike Boone left the field on a cart with an ankle injury. The Broncos placed him on IR again following the game… Marlon Mack had a 66 yard touchdown catch for his first score since 2019… Latavius Murray continued to lead the Denver backfield in snaps and usage… Jerry Jeudy scored three touchdowns. It was his first career multi-touchdown game… Jeudy led the Broncos with nine targets… Greg Dulcich trailed only Jeudy in targets for Denver…

Panthers 30 at Seahawks 24

Sam Darnold started his second straight game. The Panthers won both. Darnold’s 14.3 fantasy points per game ranks just 24th among quarterbacks but is the best mark by any of the Panthers’ quarterbacks the past two seasons… D’Onta Foreman led the Carolina backfield in snaps and opportunities, but failed to score… Both Raheem Blackshear and Chuba Hubbard scored touchdowns in the contest, however… Shi Smith scored his first career touchdown… D.J. Moore did not catch a pass for the first time since his first career game in 2018…

Geno Smith has the best completion percentage (71.5) of any quarterback with more than 50 attempts on the year. Smith’s career percentage prior to this season was 58.8… Smith has set career highs in almost every passing category in only 13 games so far… Kenneth Walker is expected back in Week 15… D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett each scored in the same game for the fifth time this season… Metcalf is on pace for a career high in targets… Lockett scored for the sixth week in a row, the best such stretch of his career… Despite the fact he trailed Noah Fant in snaps 21-30, Wil Dissly was the leading receiving tight end for Seattle…

Dolphins 17 at Chargers 23

Tua Tagovailoa has completed just 28 of 61 passes over the past two games… Tagovailoa slipped behind Jalen Hurts to rank second in passer rating… Jeff Wilson injured his hip and is questionable for Week 15… Raheem Mostert saw his highest usage since Wilson joined Miami at the deadline… Tyreek Hill (WR2) injured his ankle but expects to play in Week 15… Jaylen Waddle does not have a 100 yard game since Week 8… No Dolphin tight end recorded a catch… Miami plays Buffalo on Saturday in Week 15…

Justin Herbert had season highs in completions and passing yards… Herbert is the only top-10 fantasy quarterback without at least one rushing touchdown this season… Austin Ekeler (RB1) is eighth in rush share and third in target share among running backs… Ekeler is on pace for a career high in total yardage. He broke his previous career high for receptions in a season in Week 14… Mike Williams returned from injury and ranked as WR5 on the week with over 100 yards and a score… Keenan Allen caught 12 passes. He had 14 targets for the second consecutive game…

Patriots 27 at Cardinals 13

Mac Jones (QB27) threw his first interception since Week 8, but now has more interceptions (eight) than touchdowns (seven) on the year… Rhamondre Stevenson injured his ankle and left the game early. He is questionable for Week 15… Pierre Strong, Jr. and Kevin Harris each scored his first career touchdown… Harris led Strong in snaps, but Strong was the more effective runner and also caught two passes… DeVante Parker left the game under concussion protocol and is questionable for Week 15… Nelson Agholor saw a season-high 10 targets but could only catch five for just 32 yards… Hunter Henry had a season-high 70 yards, including a 39 yard catch that was the second-longest of his career… Henry ranks just 21st in target share among tight ends, but is tied for 10th in fantasy points per target…

Kyler Murray tore his ACL on the Cardinals’ opening possession and will miss the remainder of the season… Colt McCoy attempted 40 passes and had his best rushing performance since 2018 in relief of Murray… James Conner had season highs in receiving and topped 100 total yards for the second game in a row. Conner is RB4 the past two weeks… Robbie Anderson had his best game as a Cardinal with Arizona in passing mode… Since he returned from injury, DeAndre Hopkins is fourth in targets among wide receivers… Trey McBride saw a season-high six targets and had his best receiving day of his rookie season…
