Welcome to the Week 15 Blitz Pickup, where we review the most interesting facts, figures and notes from every NFL game each week. We are in full fantasy postseason mode. It’s survive and advance, and you need all the information you can get your hands on. Just like a running back hitting a crucial chip on a blitzing linebacker, we’re going to make sure nothing gets by, all so you can make the plays you need to reach fantasy football paydirt. It’s down, it’s dirty. It’s the Week 15 Blitz Pickup!

Seattle couldn’t quite reel in the 49ers, who took full control in the NFC West.

49ers 21 at Seahawks 13

Brock Purdy has thrown two touchdowns in each of his three games as the primary/starting quarterback… Since joining the 49ers in Week 7, Christian McCaffrey has finished among the top-11 fantasy running backs in six of eight games, including three top-two finishes. The only exceptions were Week 7 (his first game with San Francisco) and Week 12 against New Orleans… Jauan Jennings led the San Francisco wide receivers in targets, receptions, and yards as Brandon Aiyuk had his lowest fantasy score of the season… George Kittle had his second two-touchdown game of the season. Kittle’s 25.3 fantasy points were his most of 2022…

Geno Smith (QB7) failed to throw multiple touchdowns for the first time since Week 6 and just the third time all season… Kenneth Walker has not cleared 100 yards rushing or 20 fantasy points since Week 9 against Arizona… Tyler Lockett led the Seahawks in receiving, but broke his finger during the game. The injury required surgery and will cause Lockett to miss at least Week 16 versus Kansas City… No Seattle wide receiver caught a touchdown for the first time since Week 6… Noah Fant has scored a touchdown in two of the last three games… Since scoring a touchdown in three of the first four games, Will Dissly has not scored in 10 straight games…

Week 15 Blitz Pickup: Saturday

Minnesota caught the Colts laying down on the job in the second half of an historic game.

Colts 36 at Vikings 39 (OT)

Matt Ryan‘s 182 passing yards were his fewest of the season… The Colts announced Nick Foles as the starting quarterback for Week 16. Foles will be the third starter for the Colts this season… Jonathan Taylor left the game after one catch with an ankle injury. Taylor was placed on season-ending IR following the game… Zack Moss had a career-high 24 carries for 81 yards in Taylor’s absence… Chase McLaughlin made a career-high five of five field goals attempts. He was also perfect on three extra point attempts for a career-best 20 fantasy points… Despite giving up 39 points after halftime, the Colts’ DST had a season-high 21 fantasy points…

Kirk Cousins‘s 460 passing yards were a career high. He has now thrown for 400+ yards in back-to-back games… Cousins also had season highs in touchdown passes (four) and fantasy points (32.4)… Dalvin Cook had a career-high 95 receiving yards as part of a season-high 27 fantasy point total… Justin Jefferson leads all wide receivers in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and fantasy points. Jefferson is on pace for career highs in each of those categories… K.J. Osborn had a career day with 157 yards receiving and his first 30+ point fantasy day… T.J. Hockenson is fifth among tight ends in target share, despite playing for two different teams this season…

Ravens 3 at Browns 13

Tyler Huntley has yet to throw a touchdown in three games since taking over for the injured Lamar JacksonJ.K. Dobbins has at least 120 yards rushing in back-to-back games since returning from injury… Demarcus Robinson had two fumbles in the game, losing one. He had two career fumbles entering the game… Leading wide receiver Devin Duvernay suffered an injury in practice and has been placed on IR prior to Week 16… Mark Andrews still leads all tight ends in target share on the year. Andrews has not scored a touchdown since Week 6 and has cleared 10 fantasy points just once in the same timespan… Justin Tucker missed multiple field goal attempts in the same game for the first time since Week 16 of 2018…

Cleveland won for the second time in two games with Deshaun Watson as the starting quarterback. In that span, Watson has finished as QB30, QB14, and QB21… Nick Chubb has just one touchdown and one 100 yard performance in his last five games… Kareem Hunt is averaging just 8.2 fantasy points per game, 4.5 points lower than his previous career low… With Watson under center, Amari Cooper is averaging just 8.0 fantasy points per game. Donovan Peoples-Jones is averaging 13.3 points per game… David Njoku (TE7) is in the midst of his best career fantasy season. Njoku is averaging 11 fantasy points per game and is on pace for a career high for the year…

Dolphins 29 at Bills 32

Tua Tagovailoa does not have a rushing touchdown yet on the season. But Tagovailoa has thrown a touchdown in all but one game, and has at least 200 yards in all but three games this season… Tagovailoa is on pace for career bests in almost every passing category… Salvon Ahmed had his first rushing touchdown since 2020… Raheem Mostert had his best rushing total as a Dolphin and best overall since Week 13 of 2019… Jeff Wilson missed the game with injury and is questionable to play against Green Bay on Christmas Day… Jaylen Waddle has the lowest target share of any top-10 fantasy wide receiver… After finishing fourth in targets among tight ends last season, Mike Gesicki is just 27th this season. He’s dropped from sixth to 30th in target share…

Josh Allen (QB3) is averaging 25.1 fantasy points per game, the highest of his career… Allen had his highest fantasy score of the season. He threw four touchdowns for the third time this year and had 300 yards for the sixth time… James Cook had his first career receiving touchdown… Devin Singletary has not cleared 100 total yards since Week 6 and has just one game this season with 20+ fantasy points… Stefon Diggs has gone back-to-back games without a touchdown for the third time this season. He is still tied for the second-most receiving touchdowns in the league with 10… Dawson Knox saw his first redzone target in five weeks and caught it for a five yard touchdown. On the season, Knox has five redzone catches on six targets for three of his four scores…

Cowboys 34 at Jaguars 40 (OT)

Dak Prescott threw three touchdowns for the third time this season, but also had two interceptions for the fourth game this year… Prescott is QB25 overall, but QB15 in points per game… Ezekiel Elliott scored for the seventh straight game… Tony Pollard failed to score a touchdown, but did clear 100 total yards for the seventh game this year… Noah Brown had his first two touchdowns since Week 2 with Cooper Rush. It was Brown’s first career two-score game… With Dalton Schultz healthy and Dak Prescott under center, CeeDee Lamb‘s target share has diminished since earlier in the season… Every touchdown this season by a Dallas tight end has been on a redzone target, including Peyton Hendershot‘s Week 15 score on his only catch… Dalton Schultz is seventh among tight ends in redzone targets this season…

Trevor Lawrence had his first career four touchdown game and has now doubled his passing touchdown total from 2021… Travis Etienne had his first 100 yard game since Week 9, but is tied for the most fumbles among running backs this season with five… Zay Jones had his first multiple-touchdown game since 2018 and his first ever three-score game… Prior to 2022, Christian Kirk had seven career games with double-digit targets in four years. He has four such games this season… Evan Engram (TE4) is on pace for career highs in every receiving category and for his best fantasy ranking ever…

Eagles 25 at Bears 20

Jalen Hurts did not throw a touchdown for the first time since Week 5 and had multiple interceptions for the first time this season. Hurts did tie a career high with three rushing touchdowns, however… Hurts will miss Week 16 with a shoulder injury. Gardner Minshew will get the start… Miles Sanders had his first fumble since Week 11 of last season. Only Saquon Barkley has more carries this season without a lost fumble… A.J. Brown tied a season high with 16 targets and set a new career mark with 181 receiving yards. Brown is the overall WR2 over the past three weeks… DeVonta Smith has already broken his last year’s mark for receptions and is on pace to set new highs in targets, yards, and touchdowns… Dallas Goedert was activated from IR prior to Week 16…

Justin Fields became the third quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards in a season… David Montgomery had his first receiving touchdown of the season and first since 2020. Combined with a rushing score, it was his first multi-touchdown game and highest fantasy score of 2022… Khalil Herbert was activated from IR and should play in Week 16… Byron Pringle has the only two Chicago wide receiver touchdowns since Darnell Mooney was lost to IR for the season… Cole Kmet is tied for third in receiving touchdowns among tight ends. Kmet’s five scores all came in Weeks 8-10, however…

Falcons 18 at Saints 21

Desmond Ridder made his pro debut with his first start, completing only 13 of 26 pass attempts for just 97 yards… Tyler Allgeier had his first career 100 yard rushing day… Cordarrelle Patterson was outrushed by Allgeier but did score for the first time since Week 9… Drake London was the target on 11 of Ridder’s 26 pass attempts, and caught 7 of Ridder’s 13 completions… No other Falcon wideout had a catch…

Andy Dalton has six touchdowns against zero interceptions in his last four starts… Alvin Kamara has scored just three touchdowns on the season, all coming in a monster Week 8 game… Chris Olave injured his hamstring and is out for Week 16… Jarvis Landry was placed on IR with an ankle injury prior to Week 16… Rashid Shaheed caught three of four targets for 95 yards and a score, with a career-long reception of 68 yards… Juwan Johnson (TE9) caught two scores and has seven touchdowns in his last seven games…

Lions 20 at Jets 17

Jared Goff has nine passing touchdowns and zero interceptions in his past six games. It’s the longest stretch of Goff’s career without an interception… Jamaal Williams was held out of the endzone for the second consecutive game and has not averaged over four yards per carry since Week 8… Meanwhile, D’Andre Swift led the Lions in rushing yards and caught five of nine targets as well… Amon-Ra St. Brown saw double-digit targets for the seventh time in 13 games this season. St. Brown is 11th in the league in target share… Jameson Williams played on just 13 snaps and was held without a catch on only one target… Brock Wright caught a touchdown, but no Lion tight end has caught more than two passes in a game since T.J. Hockenson was traded to the Vikings…

Zach Wilson was called on to start with Mike White out with injury. Wilson had perhaps his best performance of the season, but still completed just 51.4 percent of his pass attempts… After averaging 5.0 yards per carry in his previous three games, Zonovan Knight was limited to just 23 yards on 13 carries for a 1.8 YPC average… Garrett Wilson is on track to be the Jets’ first 1,000 yard receiver since Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker in 2015… C.J. Uzomah caught his only two targets for his first two scores of the season…

Steelers 24 at Panthers 16

Mitch Trubisky started at quarterback with Kenny Pickett in concussion protocol and ran for his second touchdown of the season… Najee Harris rushed for his fifth touchdown in his last five games and has rushed for at least 86 yards in four of the last six contests… Prior to Week 8, Harris had just one rushing touchdown on the season (three scores total) and had not run for more than 74 yards in any game… Diontae Johnson (WR29) was held scoreless again. Despite ranking sixth in targets and eleventh in catches among wideouts, Johnson remains the only wide receiver in the top 74 of fantasy scoring without a touchdown… Pat Freiermuth was held without a catch and scored zero fantasy points for the first time in his career…

Sam Darnold has not thrown an interception in his three starts for the Panthers this season. Darnold has not had a positive touchdown-to-interception ratio in a season since 2019… D’Onta Foreman had just nine yards rushing and had his lowest fantasy score since Christian McCaffrey was traded to San Francisco earlier this season… After being held without a catch in Week 14, D.J. Moore had one of his best performances of the season and led the Panthers in every receiving category… No Carolina tight end has scored 10 fantasy points in a game this season…

Chiefs 30 at Texans 24 (OT)

Patrick Mahomes (QB2) completed over 87 percent of his passes for his most efficient game since 2019… Jerick McKinnon has four receiving touchdowns in his last three games. In that stretch, he has caught 17 of 19 targets for 191 yards… Isiah Pacheco had his second-highest rushing total of the season… In his last two games, JuJu Smith-Schuster has caught 19 of 21 targets to lead the Chiefs… Despite not scoring a touchdown, Travis Kelce was the fourth-highest scoring tight end for week 15, with 10 catches for 105 yards…

After splitting snaps evenly in Week 14, Davis Mills out-snapped Jeff Driskel 52-18 and was again the top passing option for Houston… Royce Freeman received the bulk of the backfield opportunities with Dameon Pierce on IR, although Dare Ogunbowale played the most snaps of any Houston running back… Nico Collins missed the game with an injury and was placed on season-ending IR prior to Week 16… Brandin Cooks and Chris Moore are both questionable for Week 16… Teagan Quitoriano and Jordan Akins each scored a touchdown, though Akins received more targets in the game while Quitoriano played more snaps…

Yes, that was the number one craziest ending we’ve seen.

Patriots 24 at Raiders 30

Mac Jones had perhaps the worst game of his career, and coach Bill Belichick would not commit to Jones as the team’s starter for the remainder of the season when asked by reporters following the game… Rhamondre Stevenson was questionable, but played and had his highest rushing output of his career… No Patriot wide receiver has scored a touchdown since Nelson Agholor in Week 12, and before that, since Jakobi Meyers in Week 8…

Derek Carr has thrown multiple touchdowns in six of seven games dating back to Week 9… Josh Jacobs continues to lead the league with a 82.7 percent rush share. Derrick Henry is second at 75.3… Keelan Cole scored his first touchdown of the season… Davante Adams, meanwhile, leads all receivers in target share… Darren Waller scored a touchdown in his first game action since Week 5…

Cardinals 15 at Broncos 24

Colt McCoy was pulled from the game with a concussion. Trace McSorley will make his first career start in Week 16… James Conner has scored a touchdown in each of his last five games and has six total scores in that timeframe… Despite the quarterback issues, DeAndre Hopkins still saw 11 targets in the game… Trey McBride had his best game of the season, catching four of five targets for a season-high 55 yards…

Arizona sacked Brett Rypien seven times in his third career start… Latavius Murray had his first 100 yard rushing game and biggest fantasy output of the season… Marlon Mack scored his first rushing touchdown since 2019… Courtland Sutton missed his second straight game with injury… Eric Tomlinson led the Denver tight ends in receiving and had his first touchdown since 2017 with the Jets…

Titans 14 at Chargers 17

Ryan Tannehill reinjured his ankle and could miss the remainder of the season… Malik Willis will start in Week 16… With Willis starting under center in Weeks 8-9, Derrick Henry rushed for 334 yards and four scores… With Treylon Burks out with injury, tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo led the Titans in receiving…

Justin Herbert failed to throw a touchdown for the first time since Week 6 and threw two interceptions for the first time all season. He did, however, top 300 yards for the third straight week… Austin Ekeler (RB1) is fourth in the league in receptions among all players… Keenan Allen is WR9 over his last four games played… Gerald Everett has set new career highs in targets, receptions, and receiving yards…

Bengals 34 at Buccaneers 23

Joe Burrow has 13 touchdown passes in his past five games and trails only Patrick Mahomes in passing scores on the season… After rushing for 6.9 YPC in Week 14, Joe Mixon averaged just 1.9 YPC in Week 15, his least efficient game of 2022… Mixon is the only top-12 fantasy running back averaging less than 4.2 YPC on the year… For the first time, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd each scored a touchdown in the same game… With Hayden Hurst out, Mitchell Wilcox started and scored his first career touchdown…

Tom Brady has six interceptions in his last five games… Leonard Fournette operated as the team’s primary running back, but hasn’t scored over 12 fantasy points since Week 6… Russell Gage had his first career two-score game and has three touchdowns in the past two weeks… Chris Godwin leads the team in target share and is 13th in the league in targets despite playing just 12 games… Mike Evans has not scored in 10 straight games, the longest drought of his career…

The Giants made sure they left Washington without a tie, on the scoreboard or the standings.

Giants 20 at Commanders 12

Daniel Jones has the highest completion percentage and quarterback rating of his career thus far, although his counting stats are largely depressed. He has balanced that with his best rushing season, giving him the most fantasy points he’s scored both per game and overall… Saquon Barkley has more rushing touchdowns this season (nine) than in the previous three seasons combined… Isaiah Hodgins has been the Giants’ top fantasy wideout over the past three weeks… Daniel Bellinger led the New York tight ends in targets, but has not scored since Week 6…

Taylor Heinicke had his best rushing performance of the season, but has not cleared 20 fantasy points since Week 8… Antonio Gibson had just five rush attempts, his fewest since Week 6. Brian Robinson, meanwhile, has had his three biggest yardage totals in the last three weeks… Jahan Dotson had a career game with 105 yards receiving and has caught a touchdown in back-to-back games… Terry McLaurin‘s 14.9 Yards Per Reception trails only A.J. Brown among the top-20 fantasy wide receivers…

Week 15 Blitz Pickup: Monday Night

Green Bay kept their slim playoff hopes alive in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Rams 12 at Packers 24

Baker Mayfield took a step back from his surprising debut, but did throw a touchdown for the second consecutive game for Los Angeles… Cam Akers had 100 total yards for the first time this season and just the second time in his career… Ben Skowronek was placed on IR with a calf injury following the game… Tyler Higbee caught the first touchdown by any Ram tight end this season…

Aaron Rodgers threw his tenth interception, his most since 2010… Despite leaving early under concussion protocol, AJ Dillon scored two touchdowns for the first time this season and has four scores in his last three games… Dillon is expected to play in Week 16… Aaron Jones has two receiving touchdowns in his last three games… Romeo Doubs caught all five of his targets in his return from injury…
